Wondering what the average success rate on the "recycled" troll weapons is.

I am trying to get my warrior set up with a pair of the Vengeful Honed blades of the Ykesha. On our first try, out of 5 attempts, the troll smith got 1 success. He actually told me that it was the first time out of many attemrts that he had EVER made one.

This is with 215 skill, + the 15% hammer.

Not surprised to get one out of five. Rather pleased, in fact. I was surprised to find that he considered a 20% rate one of his GOOD runs on these. Does anyone do these on a regular basis? If so, what kind of success are you having?

Oh, and BTW, while the sword has a recommended level of 45, it procs for my 43 warrior.

I would think that the success rate on making these would be equal to any other above 250 trivial cultural item. The problem is that with so few troll smiths it's hard to get a large enough sample to determine what the 'average' success rate might actually be.

I'm a troll smith myself but can't comment as my skill isn't high enough to consider making an attempt at these worth my while. Very soon though I will be at least able to post some type of results that might be of help. Good luck on the other sword.

Oh and that is interesting that it already procs for your 43 warrior. I believe the only other stat on that diety sword is the 5 ac boost. I assume you got all 5 as well. Makes me wonder what the recommended level was for on that at all.

I had two of those made for my Troll warrior by a GM Troll smith in my former guild. He told me he failed two out of every three tries. I scraped together enough for three attempts hoping to get lucky and come away with just one of them. I came away with two! The only combine he failed on was one of the essence combines which is brewing not smithing (costing me one BD, but well worth it in the end). I guess I got lucky. He is smithing with a skill of 252, so he has the best possible chance for success. Now I'm sure I was very fortunate, but I've heard many people complaining about their success rate on these and I just don't think it is consitent with what I've seen in my experience with them. That same smith later made a couple more for another guildmate of mine after seeing how happy I was with them, and he failed something like two or three times before making him his two Yaks. Looks like a combine best attempted at maximum skill to minimize failures.

I am currently not playing, but at 243 skill +5% I was running at a 40% (4/10) success rate when making the imbued items.

Must have been a bad run. I brought the same smith enough for 5 more tries, and he made 3. That puts the average for all 10 right at 40%, as would be expected of BD stuff.

I have had five tries at 240 +5% and made one item, a Darkly Pulsing Orb, need more cash for BDs hopefully the success rate will go up a bit then.
Finding those swamp vegetable ground spawn in innothule is a pain as well, getting whacked by Shin Guard Gurl is not fun.
