Yes, at about 370pp (roughy) per attempt, and 20 attempts per skill up.... 89kpp would most likely see you there.
You would also probably make about 12 sickles (min 5% success chance) which might sell for 1000 to 1500pp depending on your server.
As you can see paying 90kpp (less maybe 12k from selling your successes) is kind of expensive!
Now if you post your RACE maybe there is another option. Some races got it REAL easy compared to others (i.e. Human).
What do you plan to do with your 200 (+5% geerlok = 210) skill?
You will fail a sh1tload on BD cultural or PoP plate.
You might not do tooo badly making some Tae Ew gear with a bit of luck.
If you are just wanting smithing for 8th shawl, then 188 + geerlok is more than enough skill.

What race are you, btw? That may help with buying your way to 200.

unless every single item is buyable from normal vendors then i do not consider an item buyable from merchants.
Cutting sickles might be ALMOST buyable but there are no 24/7 NPC merchants that sell imbued emeralds so it is not buyable up to 200.Oberan Lifebringer

OberonMiM, imbued emeralds are pretty **** easy to buy.
Even easier to get if you know a Tunare cleric.
Therefore most (if not all) people consider sickles to pretty much be the way to "buy" your skill ups.
Its even easier if you start to stockpile the stuff for a day or two beforehand.
Hell I think I have like 300 imbued emeralds I brought sitting on a mule that I probably wont use it til I start a human smith or something (there is a human smith who keeps continually undercutting everyones tae ew/night terror gear by 50 plat so I am gonna skill up a smith to undercut all his Heraldic)

"there are tunare clerics as well....high elf ones....tall, pasty, snobby usually....."
Ya, but each and every wood elf druid you see follows tunare, and can cast the spell. How many wood elf druids are there, as opposed to high elf clerics?
Half the half elf and human druids out there follow tunare as well, and can cast the spell. Halfling druids are the only druids forced to follow Karana. Among the clerics, only high elves can follow Tunare.
And lastly, in my personal experience, though it is possible to find a high elf cleric, and I've gotten some imbued emeralds that way, it is far easier to find a wood elf druid to do the imbues.

Quicksilver temper is a brewing combine. Trivials either somewhere under 168 (according to this site) or at 228 (according to Allakhazam).
To create sheets of yttrium, you need the temper (as well as 2 small bricks of yttrium ore). The trivial is somewhere well over 250.
If you're just looking for the trivial for the final weapons, that's somewhere in the mid to high 100's.Velurian
