My druid is a Halfling. I made my High Elf Cleric a follower of Tunare so I could imbue emerlds. What a pain in the arse

Heheh yeah it IS a pain. I think it's a bit much when druids sell imbued emeralds for 40pp each when they cost only 13 and change, but it really is slow going imbuing those things, and they don't sell well, so it's not very motivating to put them at low prices. I've seen some druids putting them up at 20pp each, but that's too low for the effort too, I think. I guess about 25pp seems fair to me, and I've even paid that much when I didn't want to bust out my own druid to do the imbues.

It sure is easier imbuing with my shaman though, as he gets his mana back so fast. Too bad nobody wants the imbued jades but me! (for old world jade idols -- yay for quick cheap skill ups!)

If you have money to burn -- hundreds of thousands of plat -- you can probably store-buy your way to anything you wish. I remember a post on the boards for a high-level smithing guide; the fellow there literally had millions to spend, but didn't want to bother with farming unless it was absolutely necessary. You can search the boards for his message if you want the full details.

Here's how I'd do it. First, do banded armor until it trivials -- around 115, if memory serves, and it's all cheaply storebought. Then go straight to fine plate; leather padding tends to be plentiful in the bazaar, and at worst, you can buy the pelts and silk threads there and make your own. Everything else for fine plate is store-bought. That takes you to 188. After that, you would probably have to do sickles if you don't have a cultural option.
