Well, I spent this weekend in hollowshade Moor farming substances. 1/2 a bottle of tylenol and a lot of Icy Hot later I walked away last night with 5 Traders satchels in my bank full of Shrieking substance and 5 Deluxe toolkits on my person of Whailing substance. Which brings me to a grand total of 1000 combines sitting around that I need to burn through.

Here are a few questions I have now:
    1. Should I just fill my 2nd account with mules stacked with Humming orbs? Or should I just start farming shadows and make armor as I go along? Or should I just /duel corpse a body full of shadow pieces and do it all at once. (Least likely to happen due to sanity reasons)

    2. Considering I have to purchase parts for metal rings and banded molds for all these combines where is the best place to do all these combines?

    3. And finally, I have 180 skill currently...up top where I said I had 188 was based on the assumption that my current padding supplies were enough to take me to the end of FS. (87 combines on FS BP w/ 0 skill gains hurt) Should I go back and do FS until I max out at 188? Or should I just press on with Shadowscream? How much padding should I need to go from 180-188?

While I know 1000 of each substance most likey will not max my smithing out it should take me pretty close. I just want to finish smithing up so I can go back to leveling / AAxp. If everything goes well I should max smithing out spending less than 10k total from 0 skill.

I currently at 180 skill have only spent around 3k total so far. My main goal overall has been to make my Ranger, Tae Ew chain and maybe later some Planar armor, but I didnt want to pay someone else so I decided to take a week or two off from leveling to do it myself.

P.S. God, I wish LOY was here already, talk about being out of room in the bank Jeesh.

This might work well, considering they don't stack. Fill the mule up with 80ish, then start farming shadows.

Definitely Shar Vahl. The ore vendor is right next to two forges, and sells water. You can park your mule there also.

Do the FS, it is easy to farm. I would suggest getting 100ish padding and see how far that gets you. For padding farming, go the Marus Seru greyhopper route. You can then pick up Shadeling Silks off the lesser shades in ST while you are hunting for swirling shadows. Dump the shadows on your mule and kill them (assuming they are level 11) to hold it until you finish FS. If the shadeling silks also drop in Twilight Sea, you might do better there.
