Now this is a very cool idea. I've been holding off attempting my own Trophy for several reasons. First, my skill (at only 212 :P ), secondly the cost involved and thirdly the fact that my Geerlok already has +5% to smithing which doesn't stack with the Trophy anyway ...

But if it would get the effect "Enchant: Steel", I'd attempt it once or twice just for the heck of it.

I think any new tradeskill trophy needs to have a bigger % mod than the ubiquitous and cheap geerloks. I agree the trophies need updating however.

I don't have any problem getting things imbued or enchanted, I have plenty of guild enchanters who do it for free, since I get the spells for them, and a guild shaman also.

GM trophies should have an enchanced success focus, like (but smaller than) the Jewelcraft and Alchemy AA skills. That should've been in from the start, rather than just making it the same mod as a geerlok for a couple of hundred pp but with a couple of extra stats. True GMs (ie: 250 skill) have little benefit from the trophies as the only gain 2 skill points, and you only need 242 raw skill to max with a geerlok or trophy.

Trophies should also have a raw skill limited combine. 250 skill or you get a DNC (adjusted for non-250 reachable trades), but I don't see that happening.

I love the idea of having the racial imbue as a rightclick too. It's completely unviable to do only a couple of racial combines at a time, given the time and effort it takes to set up, so you're looking at getting tonnes of ore enchanted.

Further to that, I'd love to see a final quest where all 7 trophies could be turned in for a +10% mod and large success focus. As it stands now, multi-gms have no reason for more than one trophy other than -1 vault slot.

Personally I've enjoyed the Gm bag from making my trophy. I've found it to be very handy at time to be able to just destroy the bag and get another one later when you need another bag slot.
