We got the majority via the mud rings... We walk away with 3 - 10 earths each time we do mud ring, compared to 1-3 granites on the rock ring.

My guild (Dragon Council, Bertox) does at least one of the elemental planes every night of the week now. And I'm one of a handful of tradeskills people in the guild making items for others. As far as drop rates are concerned:

Earth: easiest zone. Doing the ring events gets you a fair amount of granite and liquified mud. And if you pull down by the temple (to the left of ZI) you can get blood too, though its at least uncommon. Vegerog vines are another commodity, since earth bows are by far the easiest of the elemental bows to make.

Fire: magma crystals are pretty common, really, once you start clearing field 2. The Liquid Substance is by far the limiting factor. I think our guild has seen maybe a half dozen of these drop after a 20 or more clearings of the named mobs (during which we clear the bridge rocklords who drop the stuff).

Water: I hate this one. Getting to the mobs that drop the ice and the kelp and the soapstone is a pain in the arse, and its unfortunate, since the water chain is the best of the 4 elemental types. Blood is common, skins are common.

Air: I can attest to the fact that both fog fragments and gaseous condensate are indeed on the drop list, its just that you have to fight way up the islands to get them. Much like the spider silk, they only drop from certain mobs, and you don't get those mobs anywhere near the zone in. But they are also rare drops--I've seen maybe a half dozen of each drop thus far. Wind metal is pretty common, but that's true of molten ore and immaculate steel, too. Ecian ice is the only "metal" that's a pain to get.

          YIKES

Well, I can honestly say that I am far, far, far away from ever being able to loot this stuff. i've been keeping my eyes open in the bazaar for ingredients. I managed to get a soapstone for 350 pp the other day. Thought it was a pretty good deal. I guess my question is what sort of price shuold that stufff be selling for? I saw one for 10 k today, but to be honest, there is no way that I am willing to pay that. From the cost standpoint I may as well just wait to get the point bought BP from LDoN.

Of course my main reason for wanting to smith one of these items is to say that I did it. I guess it's a matter of pride. As a GM smith I would love to be able to say that I have smithed every type of armor in the game that is available to my race.

          Ahh well,

          I'll just keep shopping hehe

          Good luck to you all!

sigh.... my guild did mud ring last night once again... and guess what? i was main looter and i looted every single mud guy of the whole event :

ONE SINGLE LONELY liquid earth !

im thinking about petitioning.. there must be some kind of error in the loot table on Kael Drakkal obviously , because you guys on US servers tell me you get plenty of earth during those events. I did mud ring by now around 10 times and every single time we got 0-3 earths... and thats ridiculous if you think about the fact that a BP try consumes 6 earths...

            *roar*

The only 2 items we have a problem with dropwise are the Fog Fragments and Chips of Granite. Others we get plenty of.

You can exp in water at the Regrua/Hraquis area. My friends and I have and not one of us has a piece of ele gear yet. I'm the tank and I have about 8200hp exp group buffed (8500 if I can get a bss).

It's hard, killing isn't quick (though my groups are far from max dps, i group with friends whoever is available). So far zero Ice (hi sony fix this), 2 Soap, 1-2 gills.

Also someone was complaining about stats on air gear?

Water = tank stuff, High hp low mana

Fire = caster stuff, High mana low hp

Earth Hybrid stuff even match hp/mana

Air = kinda sucky period, all stats are low, imo for selling. If you are in Ele you prolly don't really need this stuff especially with the time invested vs item stats, better off farming one of the other ele.

Hi. Sony, Fix drop rates. Also don't make mobs drop nothing. Fightin in these areas is not easy and should net at least 1 ****ed TS drop per mob. Considering the amount of these items needed for just about every Trade skill, 1 per mob always (with some dropping more) is not overpowering nor is RvR out of whack (which it is now).
