And yeah. I do a specific "Do you have item X" for each task. It makes no check if you have Y (for another task) nor any type of check of WHERE it actually is.

Tier 3 is no joke. I would suggest trying the blob that spawns at entrance before you procede inside if you are working on the 80 quest. I have seen lower progression guilds leave steamfactory in 5 min because it is that difficult.
You will most definately need a bard/monk puller inside, a very beefy tank, and strong healing. I honestly don't know if many that are not at least in TSS type gear will fare well here. Mobs hit for 2600 ish. The two clerics I have grouped in here with are top in my guild on mana and pretty much went through 20-40% of mana per pull. Most pulls being two mobs. Once you find and see the foundry you will understand why. It is very easy to wipe here even for the best geared group. I pulled this a couple times and will admit I was challenged.
Can't wait to hit combine for my patterns later... good luck

Garshok and Zopharr had all of their impressions by kill 26, Rish got his last one on shaman number 41. We mostly camped one room that gave us nine placeholders and one wanderer to kill. You could probably cut this from 12-13 hours to eight or nine hours if you have a well-geared group going room to room killing more PHs – we had about five minutes downtime each 20-minute cycle when we had a full group.
I'm not liking this part of the quest. :-P
Note to Ngreth: I'm not saying "change it" or anything...I just don't like it. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I don't like onions, either.

I will be changing that though.
BUT. the drops for the 80 cultural are almost exclusive to SoF and the Quest is only in SoF.... so to do the 80 symbols you are going to have to get SoF anyway.

Has anyone found a decent spot for these?
If you are running out of mobs and having downtime, you can try moving deeper into the tunnels for a new camp spot. If you enter from the west, go through that first room, and take the left fork at the exit tunnel, if you move down a bit that tunnel doesn't have wanderers.

Also -- I have seen mixed messages on whether the task updates if you are in a raid or not. Can someone confirm that the tasks update in a raid?Quaras Shadowscythe -- Bristlebane

The Sublime task most definitely updates in a raid. We took four groups into Fortress Mechanotus yesterday, and folks in all groups were getting updates, both kills and impressions. However, you must get on the mob's aggro list, or you won't get the update -- just being in raid isn't enough. You have to damage the mob or cast on it.Sir KyrosKrane Sylvanblade

45 darkroot shamans
5 impressions
1 adult mammoth
1 impression
The shamans are very rare to pop, and the rate of impressions seems quite low. 3 other people tradeskilling and doing this quest report having to go to 50, 60, or 80 kills to get impressions.
The mammoths in icefall are also quite hard without the ability to single pull, or kite. Guess I need to buy a second computer and box a wizardAlso very few adults are ever up in icefall when I go there, and don't see many when they repop. Mostly 5-8 large mammoths and dozens of wooly mammoths.
I'll have to drag some friends out there, as that is more of the blocker for a beastlord. Seems very unlikely that icefall could be done in an hour or two with only 5-8 placeholders(I assume the larges are the only ones that can pop adults), and such a low spawn rate of adults.
But I don't know.. could be a bad RNG run.
Just warning any beastlords out thereVidyne
