  • Froggy Plate?

Hmm apart from dyes for armour (Acrylia?) what about the cultural plate/chain for froggies? Will the small race cultural (Dwarf) be upgraded/extended (races, deities, stats?)?

Will they take the chance to fix the gaps in Dwarf armour? Such as imbued having the same downgraded stats as unimbued in some peices? Some deities not allowed (Hobbit Ranger, Dwarf Warrior, etc).

Froggies are small race so presumably they will either have their own cultural or another race will expand its cultural to accomodate them. Expanding Human would be just cruel, the shortage of Essence of Sunlight makes it madness! (unless Freeport based) Anyway Humans get a huge range anyway already!

Frogs can use Small and Medium armor.

    :-)

So It could go to the Dwarves, Humans, or even to the frogloks themselves.

I'm betting that unless they add Froglok cultural tailoring/smithing (which would be wrong since Vah Shir are still waiting for their cultural), they'll just allow Frogloks to wear the Mith Marr imbued Heraldic armors.

I don't see why it would be wrong. The froglok civilization is one of the oldest on Norrath. They have a major god to worship, and appear to do so uniformly, like the luggage worshipping CT.

They are sophisticated enough to have clerical, wizardly, and paladin traditions. They even have a standing tradition as smiths. Check out some of the named spawns in the chef camp in Seb.

Vah Shir don't even seem to have a written language. They allow all of their history to be recorded in bardsong.

Dark elves can also wear small and medium armour, but I bet ours won't be extended to frogloks :P

Not sure about high elves, but I know wood elves also fit the small or medium bill.

As a cleric of Mithaniel Marr I can certainly see the advantages of a whole bunch of young Froglok warriors, paladins and clerics needing some nice imbued field plate to equip themselves with Well, the wealthier ones anyways (diamonds running about 200pp each on Torv).

Wonder if my currently dubious status with the froggies of Upper Guk (despite a considerable amount of undead froggy slaying) will change with the release of the "extension"?

as much as I hate to see it, I bet they will go with human MM. This is really sad because humans have WAY to big a market as it is.

what I would like to see is them atleast being able to wear the agnostic from several cultures. But seeing as VI hates dwarves, I dont see that happening.

                  Froggies and Heraldic

You have much, much more faith than I do that they will add froggies to existing Mith Marr armors if they don't get their own cultural, Cantatus. After all, Gnome clerics and shadow knights of bertox still have no imbued armor to wear. The only cleric/knight combo to be without, as far as the race/class/deity template shows, in spite of repeated /feedback to at least add them to Fetid Heraldic if they won't take the time give gnomes their own cultural armors.

This topic is probably leading into some dead horse discussions, but the fact is, without a systematic effort to plug ALL the holes, we will just have live with our frustrations and keep sending in the /feedback.

Well, I suppose it's possible they'll get no cultural armor as well... Even if they were to add them to Heraldic, that'd still leave out the Froglok Shamans and Wizards anyhow.

                      It'll be funny though...

If they DO put in Froglok Cultural and it fills in a LOT of other existing gaps in the process too.

Solusek Ro DOES have a "friendly rivalry" with Mithaniel Marr after all..

I think they will go with whatever is easist, that being no froggy cultral, and add them onto the existing human Mith Marr cultral list.

To add cultral what would the Tempers be, Troll blood (does that exist in the game ?) and some kind of water plant ? It's just too much work for VI I think...

But, I am wondering if they will have any drawbacks, like not being able to wear plate... But that might be a bit of a pain, as they will have to add frog whatever drops to Hate....

I would love to see them, (and one would hope in the same process) the cats get Cultral. So I hope that my guess here is wrong.

I honestly don't expect to see Froggy Cultural. However, if they do add Froggies to Human Cultural, you can be sure I'll complain.

After all, where's the Cultural that Vah Shir can wear?

Cats have progressive quests, trolls have a cultural oven with no recipes for it for quite some time now.

Frogs will most likely be like iksar in that they'll only be able to wear thier own cultural since even though they are small, they've got odd ball builds and probobly special needs seeing as how they are amphibians.
