i got a highelf 345 blacksmith
i got a barbarian 330 blacksmith
brother has a dwarf 330 blacksmith
we decide to make some lower level twinks and play them, later on these twinks reached the level to wear expert level armor , so we proceded to attempt to farm stuff......
highelf expert = fungus sap stuff , it drops from various mobs in dulaks harbor, took me less then an hour to wipe the area and have enough stuff to make 2 suits of highelf expert armor,
Barbarian / dwarven expert, best reports were twilight sea, so we cleared ele island, then went in and cleared the hidden valley, 3 days later, we had enough (just barely) for 1 suit each ( lava rocks for dorf stuff and chunk of condensed ice for barb stuff)
in short, highelf drop rate is 20:1 compared to dwarven and barbarian for expert armor drop rates
small bricks of yttrium vs pile of gravel , this also appears to be about a 20:1 difference in drop rate, farmed the yttrium near were the clicky shrink wand drops, got a stack in couple hours,
comments anyone (specificaly looking for some official response to this) others have noticed as well im quite sure, why are certain racial drops common and others are insane rare, just a brief look in the bazaar tells you all ya need to know about drop rates, highelf moonglade has flooded the market, so as vah shir armor , im sure there are others.
