Bard. I kill them one at a time for the blues and two to three at time for the light blues. I guess I'm geared fairly well. Maybe mid level raid gear. Just melee/slow DS style.
Unless any1 can point to a place where iksar blood drops comonly then it is faster just to do the tae ew chain combines.
Froglok blood isnt that hard to get but iksar blood is rare (in my experience).
Here is my small sample size of data from Cazic thule.
352 lizards killed, 80 bloods. My level 70 paladin and a boted level 70 shaman can kill 6-8 lizards per spawn cycle (plus some stupid raptors that get in the way). The cycle is 22 minutes long.
My 80 combines have gotten me 3 skillups, I am at 275 now.
I tried going to Dunak Harbor. I ran around on the deck of the Iksar ship killing everything, but no Iksar bloods. I also went to Seballis and killed the 4 Iksar lizards in the jail, but no Iksar bloods.
I was hoping making Tae shields instead of the Tae Leggings might be faster, but I havent had any luck.
It is far more productive to buy scale temper components then farming them assuming you can farm Tae Ew blood. If by some miracle you found an endless supply of scale temper for cheap, you can always turn around and sell the extra Tae Ew Blood you farmed.
People charge a lot for frog/iksar blood but I can't imagine tae ew blood being any cheaper.
On Drinal it's like around 1K for Tae Ew and while frog/iksar blood go all over the place it's usually in the range of 100-500 pp (frog tend to be cheaper than iksar). Since 1 scale temper = 1 tae ew + 1 distilled mana for purposes of combines, if you ever even think about buying tae ew blood it's almost always cheaper to buy scale temper components instead.
Gone from 268 to 284 on Tae ew chain legs so far.
It isnt excactly fast but it work.
As a 70 magician in decent gear i can take up 16 lizards / spawn cycle (2 browns) (max handle 3 to 4 at a time, 3 if 1 is brown).
I usually farm at the pyramid in 4C due to the PHs who drop items for fairly good tribute.
All the lizards i kill is blue con, dont bother with raptors.
Dont plame the sellers. People will sell at whatever market will pay. If people sell at 400, then someone is probably buying at that price.
I don't think this is necessarily true, because there is no penalty to putting something up and then not being able to sell it, so you get a lot of people perfectly willing to put up a price that will never sell.

Yeah people just don't understand economics... and it doesn't make it right if some people will pay... stuff on the Rathe is grossly overpriced because there are people who sit there all day who buy and resell for more and do it to get more plat to sell online for cash. They lie and deny it but it's obvious that's what they're doing. If you buy up all the crap and overcharge it's price gouging and unfortunately there's no rule against it.
Not sure if you all realize it but you can get the Iksaar blood from the guards in cablis if you are high enough in lvl. The low lvl iksar bandits and forsaken also sometimes drop it.
Actually on the Rathe tae ew is relativly cheap most of the time between 100-500pp. The Iksar and Froglok blood has the same price range. If any of the 3 is under 400pp I buy it. If you think it's to high you can always farm it yourself or do sickles.

I beg to differ with your assessment. What ultimately determines the value of a product is what "some people will pay." No matter what price a trader lists an item, if no one is willing to pay that price, it will not sell no matter how long it sits on a merchant. If one person is out there that is willing to pay that price, then the item can be sold. This is a basic misunderstanding of a lot of players in EQ. Sellers set the prices, but buyers ultimately control the prices.
I have some items that have been on my vendor for a very long time. If I am patient, they may sell for the price I have listed, and they may not. Holding junk items may take up slots I could be using to post up better, more profitable items. If I need room on my vendor, I may drop the price on a number of items I have that are cheap and not in my primary sell lines.
I also see nothing wrong with the reselling market. If I see an item that I consider underpriced on the market, you can bet your booties that I'll purchase it and repost the item at a marketable price. You may not like this, but that does not mean that it is wrong. Furthermore, unlike what you indicated here, I have no intention of ever selling money outside the game. That is not why I play. It is pattently unfair to paint the picture that resellers are ebayers. Some may be, but so are some people that camp items in the game or farm crystals.
You have a number of problems with the game that indicate that you... "just don't understand economics." I recommend you reevaluate your viewpoint and learn to play the game that exists. You will be a lot more successful and a lot happier.
