  • 300 skill ?!?!

I sure hope they have some new recipes I am dreading the climb from 250-300.

Current cultural armors are trivial at 325, There's new cultural armor coming out.
I'm sure something will happen to accomodate us.

All of the Magnetic armours are trivial over 250...

PoP armours are trivial over 300.

Old-style Cultural (for those who have it) is trivial over 300.

I just hope it's not level-restricted and AA-required to get over 250 skill.

No. LOL I'm dreading it myself. All that work to get to the 1750 club, and I thought now I could tradeskill "just for fun." Sigh...

The cultural BPs triv at 386 so if you dont have mastery aa's this works out at a 14% chance of success, 57 with mastery3.(If formula is correct)
If they dont increase the skill cap making these, without the aa's, is going to be cross your fingers and hope time.

Definately not looking forward to this. Especially after I destroyed/gave away all my remaining smithing stock after I finally hit 250.... *grumbles*

I'm most definitely looking forward to it! I'd been seriously considering making a new toon, just so I could run through the skillup process again. In a perverse way, I really did enjoy it.

Now I get to skill up not just as a time waster (which an alt would have been), but as a meaningful result! I will get more successes when making items (such as PoP armors or the old cultural, both of which still sell on occasion), I will have a new goal to shoot for, and I'll have something to do in my down time. I'm a happy camper. =)

A few questions I'm not sure have been answered yet.

Will we be able to raise all skills to 300, or just one?

Will the skillup formula remain consistent for 251-300?

What effect will geerloks (and similar items) have now, if your skill is 250? 251? 300? (In other words, will there be a hard cap lower than the theoretical maximum? In the current system, you can't raise your skill beyond 252 with a skill mod item. Will this go away? Will there be a new artifical cap, or will your skill go as high as it can given your skill mod item?)

If anyone has any ideas, I'd be much obliged. =)

Pretty much dreading it myself and has knocked a bit of the passion I had for tradeskills out of me, adjusting trivials is a good answer, not upping a skill level that many worked hard for and expended great amount of time, pp and effort on.

This is what I would like to know, though I am stockpiling just in case

Mistletoe sickles trivial over 300, so assuming they don't change that there is a vendor bought way to max out still.

Is the DoN expansion a requirement for skilling up over 250?

I'm really sad that I gave away or sold all my extra tradeskill supplies when I hit 1750. Ah well, not all of it is gone yet -- still got buttloads o' arrow heads, just gotta get the velium to make the arrows now I guess. Time to clean out the bazaar of tradeskill supplies pre-patch I suppose.

I still have a lot of ogre cultural armor components left which I saved (thank goodness) because I use that for tribute. Guess I'll skill up smithing on that and mistletoe cutting sickles.

50 skill ups x 30 combines per skill up = 1500 mistletoe cutting sickle attempts... at what, 400 per attempt? A paltry 600k, no sweat.

Sure glad I got a +15% smithing mod item... now to farm Shei Vinitrias for the +15% tailoring mod item.

Roughly 300pp per attempt on sickles, though I still think your being optimistic on the overall cost. But would it be quicker to skill up on dropped stuff than to raise this much cash and do sickles? Maybe, who knows, I guess we shall have to wait and see...
