Sure they're good, but if I'd put the same amount of time in water I could have left with several full sets of farwater made up by now. By no means am I saying make them common, but I do feel the droprate needs to be bumped up a notch from where it's at.

PS Really the legs and the BP are the only peices worth charging atm, anything else would be a waste of cores imo. Frankly I may not even do legs for the guild unless cores pick up as any plate class can get comparable camping Kuuan Mil Greaves right in MPG also.

      muramite proving grounds

well, since everyone already knows, if not will soon know... the armors drop like candy in Muramite Proving Grounds off the blue ligtening mobs (the flurrying ones). I dont remember which camp it was, but it was full of these mobs, and everyone knew i was a smith, and after a week i eventually had 3 bags of armors. I later gave some of these back to my group, and selling the rest. In that time i came accross 2 Cores. They have a low failure rate is all I can say since Ive only failed on 1 BP ever. Their prices are dropping so fast due to the massive influx to MPG. The the Charged versions are very nice
Good alternative to Nro's LDoN armors.

What I don't understand is why every other piece increases in AC and stats when you go from Magnetized to Charged, except for the arms. They gain some HP, but lose 5 AC? Doesn't make sense.

              Have to give it time...

The people who can hunt for the Lightning Cores generally won't see the Magnetic armours as upgrades... so they won't bother equipping them before they're charged.

Heck, most of them generally won't see the Charged Magnetic armours as upgrades.

where abouts are you guys hunting that are getting 25 + pieces in a day? I've found a few "lightning mobs" but have not found a spot that yields that quantity, and we were chain pulling. Perhaps we are at wrong spot.

                Where should we look?

The cores are ridiculously rare, I've seen 1 in the entire time I've spent in MPG. I leveled there from 66 to 70 and continue to exp there. I think SoE need to take a look at the drop rate. The Pyrilen stuff drops alot more often in RS.

Maybe so... but I've only ever seen 1 Bazu Blood in the Bazaar on Xegony, and nobody is selling crafted Bazu armour.

Some thoughts / observations about the magnetic armors... I have gotten quite a bit of these pieces now and have made (repaired) at least 5 sets. Failure rate is low (I failed 1 vambraces) and its been satisfying to make armor with nice stats. I haven't sold any yet, mainly making it for friends. I think everyone is waiting to see what the prices will do before getting some. In all the time I have been exping in MPG I have only seen 2 cores drop and I have killed literally 100s of these mobs.

It seems to me that eventually the Magnetic Plate will become the new *standard issue* for plate classes. Its easy to get and repair and I am guessing that most plate classes that don't have better will be in it soon. Lord knows what this will do to the rest of the plate market. I make the Blessed Mithril Plate... or I should say, I use to... which is sort of sad as it's not as good as the Magnetic and much much harder to make. I am guessing cultural armor is dead now, a thing of the past now and that today's tradeskillers are going to have to move on and leave tradeskills of the past and learn new ones.

I like the idea of being able to improve a set of armor by further combines of rare items ~ very cool imo. I would like to see more of this please. Also would like to see the ability to create additional augment slots on armor. Would like to see this also for weapons. We should be able to combine Pyrilen Flames or Gelidran Ice with a weapon and get something that has improved dmg to ice or fire depending on the number of flames or ice you add up to some limit .. like 3. Could do this for arrows too! Anyways, I guess the thing that I have been having to struggle with is accepting the new and making the transition.

I found someone with 7 bazu blood for sale in the bazaar and grabbed most of them, I was pretty surprised. Made 2 bracers and 1 sleeves. Looking back I probably should have bought all 7.

Congratulations Kaaba on bracers. Yes, probably would have been better to buy all 7 though.. As for cores, I see people offering 20k for them but only one selling for 80k, so silly.

                              re-working magnetic armor ...

Does anyone know if you can further upgrade the magnetic armors to charged magnetic armors AFTER they've been attuned?

                              Just curious.

Attuned is just a flag that makes the item no-drop if you put it on. It doesnt affect the armor in any other way.
If you put on/attune a peice of armor, theres no reason why you wouldnt be able to add cores to it to upgrade it. You have to do this yourself cause the armor is no-drop.
The armor doesnt lose the no-drop tag if you upgrade it, btw. Youre still stuck with it.
