I wish . Unfortunately, each piece sells to vendors for 25p less than it costs to make (the cost of the padding, as somebody else metioned). The aforementioned traders are only selling it for 5 to 10p less.

I might just start vendoring it. However, I will use full vendors, because I'm not a doodey head like those people .

Wow, they're selling for that much? On Terris-Thule, I have my Sandblasted tunics at 550, and my Gothic at 500, and they aren't moving at all. I'm the only person selling the pieces other than chest, and I have those priced from 90-150 (depends on what can be bought for a particular slot at a given price), and 300 on the legs (people will soon realize the versatility of that type 2 slot), and they aren't moving either.

I'll move into the plate market when I get my skill up a bit more.

The Int armors would be popular for Shadowknights

Prolly only for troll and ogre SK's not really for erudites and DE, with hum, iks, and gnm being mid range.

Gothic would likely be more popular for the smaller SK races, where the int ones would be better for the Large races. (so use large molds on int armor.)

aside from that I've been getting 500pp on the greaves & 350 on the boots (sandblasted)

made my baby warrior some armor pieces out of spare bone tempers & granite that I can't seem to sell... was very upset when I realised that for some reason Barbs can't wear the medium size in this stuff.

now if only I could talk all the elves into buying my small stock so when the humans/half elves/Iksar come buy I still have their size in stock!

I'm busy churning out a full suit of sandblasted for my Dwarven Pally as a skillup suit. Then I'll start work on a second for my favourite cleric who's only around lvl 30 just now

I did pick up a handful of goblin bones on a merchant so I'll make some pieces with them and see how they sell on VS.

My initial feel is that the 2 slots for augs will make them potentially popular. Most existing items have only 1. Lets say someone buys the BP and adds a WIS aug AND a Regen aug? Not bad!! I'm a firm believer in not underpricing them until we see how the market will react. However, the market may get flooded quick depending on the server.

Let's clarify something:
Regen (and any other worn effect) is a type 3 slot. Type 1s (the armor is roughly 1/3 type 1 and 2/3 type 2) are single stat boosts only (and outside of spending a lot of points no hp/mana/ac either). Some of the higher type 2 point buyable augments are very nice (7sta/7wis/7int/7cha, 20hp/20mana, etc...), however at the point when you have enough points to buy these augs you're far better off getting a better item with a type 2 slot (given the number of full suits of armor with 1/2/3, 2/2/3, etc... slots the most expensive of which are better than ornate without augments) People don't care about this because they have slots, they care because the ac is 1-2 above crafted per plate piece and 1-2 below crafted per chain piece (but that's a separate rant). This armor is good as a mid-level substitute to between newb quest armor level and cultural (fitting somewhere inbetween crafted/crusty/sentient/etc and barbed ringmail/royal velium/crystal chitin/etc)

i'm doing good being able to buy tempers from merchants and traders. people are still charging 100-500p per temper. why oh why don't they understand the armor won't sell for that much. the cheapest i've seen it for is 50p. these peopel taht ahve 20| temeprs and trying to sell them for hundreads of plat really irk me especially when you can't even make profits selling these in baz....sorry just had to rant

Getting the tempers is why I'm SOOO glad I'm a ranger. (That, and being able to track names for my groups in LDoN) Everything else about rangers suck, though. (Maybe it's because I'm approaching 57 and my archery is still around 140. )

I still haven't sold a single piece of this stuff... I think the market hasn't figured out this stuff is available on my server, yet. I'll keep advertising it, though. (Heck, I can barely give the stuff away to guildies...)

I stand corrected on the regen aug idea. Was really just pulling an idea off the top of my head when the armor came out, and I didn't know the aug slot types well.

I agree it's good mid level stuff. It's funny how fast things change though - this stuff would have been pretty uber once upon a time. ;-)

On the issue of not being able to sell it to cover the costs of tempers - that's for the reason we've been debating here for a while...folks started to sell it at cost early and ruined the market. I never really noticed sales increase as the prices dropped, but the markets in the tank now. I've found tons of all pieces on merchants now too.

Actually many of them probably realize that very well. The problem lies in the fact that they're not selling the tempers to people trying to resell the armor. They're selling them to people looking for a skill up bridge from 188 to 220 to do the Aid Grimel quest. Those people are willing to pay more for the temper than the armor is worth because it saves them a tremendous amount of time and effort in farming their own components.

When I was skilling up, I bought many a mug of seafoam. Imbued field plate has no real market value anymore, but I didn't want to spend months and months farming shadow scream components. The same applies here.

When the only people buying tempers or temper components are those using them to make and sell the armor for a profit, the price will come down. Right now, there is another market for them...power tradeskillers

Accept the Armor skills out at 212. So there is still a 213-220 gap.

I guess it's kind of ironic. I wanted to make plat selling the armor, but the market was ruined by skillers. So now I sell the Tempers to the skillers, and make far more plat that way! ;-)

I agree with the last poster. I sold two greaves last night for 350-450 each. The trick to selling LDON armors is to identify what's needed. Sand arms and legs sell like hotcakes on my server, gothic greaves go quickly as well. The only thing that doesn't sell well is calcified (who needs agi?), and I haven't even bothered with frosted.

And don't ignore the ringmail. Sandblasted ringmail arms and legs will be in demand by shamans, it's quite competitive with arctic wyvern, and far cheaper to produce.

For myself, I just refuse to engage in a price-cutting war with other skillers (at least as far as my precious tempers go). I had the sand plate greaves market cornered for a few days, made alot of plat. Then some other folks figured it out and undercut me...so I started making gothic, and changed my sandblasted output to small sizes only. Sold. Tonight I plan on stocking some large, sandblasted ring pants. Barb, ogre and troll shamans will buy it without a blink, I'm certain. I know I would.

With three sizes and a host of different classes, there's so much variety that it's pretty easy to become the exclusive vendor of something that yields a 200-300% profit, even if it's only for a few days.

On The Rathe I found that there was so much competition for the LDoN greaves and bp, that people were selling them initially for 200 for each, and now, I sell them for 100pp and 105pp. Just enough to cover costs of making them.

I thankfully have guild members that get the required items for the tempers for me, so that is an added cost that I don't worry about.

I find that the armor is very nice however, as mentioned earlier, it does have two slots instead of one, so, a full suit could really make for alot of stats if you did alot of adventuring.
