my smith, lyessa, just tried 2 attempts each at calcified, gothic, and deep cavern bracers. 4 successes (failed one each calcified and deep cavern) and two skillups to 150

and yes, superb leather padding prices have been reduced to about 25pp with 130 cha

Ice Lichen is definatly dropping now. got 12 tonight makes Lichen Temper.

The BP was trivial at 221, so assuming its a 215 trivial.

did 11 trials got 12 tempers so its about 1 lichen PER clearing and i only did the kill boss, and the collect clearings.

Full BP mold didn't work though I had to use a small BP mold.(I'm a smithing n00b so maybe I shoulda known that to start with ><)

Are the dungeon drops for the tempers tradable? How much can one expect to get within an adventure? Is there variation on drop frequency for different level groups (dungeons are supposedly tailored to the level of group)? And the logical follow up question, might the best way to (*ahem*) gather components be to use a twinked out noob group?

In one 90 minute run in a Mistmore Themed dungeon, I foraged two gargoyle granites, and one dropped. My forage skill is capped at 50, so someone with max foraging skill would probably do better.

I foraged the granite. Remembered to hit forage 4 times in 90 minutes and got one granite, two roots and a water. Don't know if any dropped, too busy watching health bars and ml sold all and split cash. I doubt any did or he would have said something.

In my experience so far, if you forage at every opportunity (and I have forage bound to my Ranger's UP key), you will forrage about three times as many components as will drop. That's a really big difference, and a boon to forragers, I suppose... but not great for non-forraging tradeskillers.

Which of the tempers make gothic? I would assume the one that drops in mistmoore?

Is there a list somewhere that states which tempers go to which type of armor?

Could you make a massively twinked out set of noobs for farming components, and have an easier time in the lower level instances, than have to fight in something where perhaps you aren't at the top of your level range equipment and/or aa wise.

deep cavern is from deepest guk (swamp temper)
sandblasted is from takish'hiz (sand temper)
calcified is from rujarkian hills (bone temper)
frosted is from miragul's (lichen temper)

4 Mistmoore Adventures and not one Smithing item has dropped yet, lvl 61-65 average.

Last night, we did an adventure in Deepest Guk and got assigned to the Root Garden zone. Our group looted three Pondwater, and our druid foraged a fourth.

Here's my experience with droprates sofar. When it comes to foraging i bound the forage button to my movement keys so i pretty much hit it as soon as it refreshed every time. Most of these adventures were on normal difficulty which we completed in 30-45min.

In 7 MM adventures 11 gargoyle granite foraged, 0 dropped. If it drops it must be insanely rare.

In deepest guk, did 2 adventures. 9 pondweed dropped. Not 100% sure but dont think i foraged any.

In 1 takish adventure 0 foraged, 2 sand verbena dropped.

1 miraguls adventure, 1 ice lichen foraged, 0 dropped.

Rujarkian 1 adventure, 3 goblin bones foraged, 14 dropped.


I must say these droprates so far are lower than what i expected, except in rujarkian which seems decent.

Tonight, with the most appreciated help of our guilds soon to be GM smith, Roladena, we made a whole bunch of these armors. unfortunately we didn't get but one trivial rate. rather a close one. i hope this all fits in this post.

there are different weights and races for the small/medium and large armors.. all other information..stats and such are the same for each piece made.

also the temper agents seem to have different trivials... no fails on goblin bones or lichens, but gargoyle granite, swamp one, had a fail rate..dunno..probably just my luck..anywho..
