  • DoN raid spells no trade?

Just made the level 69 druid DoN raid spell Serpent Vines. Its marked no trade. Not sure if any others are as well. Just a heads up. I assume this isn't intentional.

    =(

Ow. you are correct it seems, I just made summon molten orb, (first combo I tried! omg!) and it is also no trade.
I am not a happy necro master researcher =(

I do hope this is going to be fixed and was just left-over from the previous "raid" status of the spell, because whats the point of any int researcher being able to make ALL spells, if some recipes are no trade and therefore unusable unless you happen to be the right class. I hadnt planned to train my other casters when I already have max research on my necro. =/

I will skip experimenting with any of the rest those except the necro one for now.

Just made 5 growl of the panther spells and didnt realize it was no trade til i tried to put in shared bank slot. Not sure if this is right or not but seems the don spells are researchable but no trade.

        Molton Orb

I just did the same thing. Made the spell and tried to give it away and found out it is "no trade". Must be a glitch. Only magicians with Master's Trophy's could have that spell and by then they would be way past the level. lol At least I hope it is a glitch.

Before the launch of SoD, Ngreth made this post:
          http://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq/show...0&postcount=46

Since the DoN lvl 69 recipes were added in *after* the post-launch patch, it'll be my guess that Ngreth forgot to go through the same motion of "change the trade flag on the scrolls at the last minute"

I won't worry too much about it. Just have to wait for the next patch.

            oops

And I have to make sure how these are given out. I almost made a horrible mistake before launch on some where people would be able to get infinite spells from the quest giver.

Can someone point me to the method people use to get these?

(We consider these 2 group missions, not Raids BTW....)

The DoN spells are obtained by completing the DoN progression missions Tier 2 - see http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/q...tml?quest=3061
Gorfdo Hammerfell, Ranger 85 on Antonius Bayle
Umbriel, Enchanter 76 on Antonius Bayle

Since Ngreth needs to look into all the quests involved in obtaining the lvl 69 DoN spells, it is better to point out that there are two paths (good and evil) to get the same spells:

                Good:
                http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/q...tml?quest=3061

                Evil:
                http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/q...tml?quest=3062

Don't want infinite spells coming out of the Evil end, even after the Good end has been curbed, do we?

The part in the progression quests that you actually get the spell/tome is after the tier 2 "Calling Emoush" encounter (marked as a 24-player raid). Loot the Glowing Stone Fragment from Emoush and turn it in to:
Chieftain Relae Aderi (good route), or
                  Captain Aleeth Zyrv (evil).

This is true, however due to group power, better weapons, armor etc... I believe the requirement (24 people) was reduced to single group needed to get this task, but the marker for the task was never changed. Emoush can be killed easily with a single group of 75-80s with Anguish / SoF tradeable / Elaborate cultural level gear and Epic 2.0 level weapons.

Anyway... I made these spells trade-able.

It will require a full patch (I even remembered FV and made sure it was trade-able there)

A bit off-topic, but the task will allow you to request Emoush with a single group (at least 3 people, as it is with almost any "group" mission), but will not allow you to accept the task without a raid formed (and not sure on the minimum player count for this mechanic).

The Tier 2 reward spells also have a slightly less powerful lvl 61 version purchasable from the DoN merchants with crystals.
