I'm not a researcher, and I've been scanning the bazaar since TSS was released looking for the level 69 and 70 spells that are supposed to be researchable, but I haven't found a single one for sale, for druids and paladins anyway. What are the issues with these not being made?

Why aren't 69-70 spells being made?

Also keep in mind alot of people are probably making only specific spells, such as Hand of Conviction and Champion, because they're both valuable and deep down the spell listing.
I'd suggest setting your bazaar search to "Spells", and your minimum price search to 30k or so. That will tell you who is making 69-70 spells, and also how much it would cost for a special order (since they'll be losing out on making one of those).

That pretty much covers if for me as well.
I make spells that I know will sell within reasonable time, which mostly boils down to the large group buffs.
If somebody approaches me with a request for a specific spell I will make it depending on how my supply of 69 and 70 parchments is, but I never have enough of them so far to risk making more fringe spells without a certain market.

If you're on Luclin, send me a tell or an in-game e-mail and I'll be happy to make whatever you need. But as others said, there's not much demand for them. People either have the spells, are willing to wait to get the TSS spells to replace them, or just don't know they can be purchased in the bazaar now.Originally posted by CedorI'm not a researcher, and I've been scanning the bazaar since TSS was released looking for the level 69 and 70 spells that are supposed to be researchable, but I haven't found a single one for sale, for druids and paladins anyway. I've had a few scrolls for sale since the first week of TSS, and then I've had to some that have sold fairly steadily and kept re-making them. Recently I haven't been keeping many in-stock on my trader due to lack of time to make them. It usually took me a few hours just to make 4-5 different kinds of spells, and I just haven't had that kind of time to do tradeskills recently.

The higher cost of the ingredients and the lower value of the end scrolls (due to vendor sold level 71-75 spells) just makes it not worth keeping a large stock of these the way it was previously with the other PoP/GoD spells, for example. Most researchers will take special orders - its knowing there is an end market that is important.

Absolutely not true on my server. I have had many people come to me and place large custom orders (6+ spells sometimes). Biggest market is people who have second accounts and buff/debuff/heal characters on the second account that they bot. Frequently, said people have not taken the time farm OoW spells for the bot, do not have TSS for the second account, need some of the many OoW spells that did not get a TSS upgrade, do not wish to yet spend the time to level the bot past 70, or are simply impatient and must have the best slow/buff/heal/etc. available right now.Originally posted by WyoraBut as others said, there's not much demand for them. I have been focused on providing spells for my guildmates in exchange for parchments and vellums. I've pretty much filled the need for level 69 spells but have not had enough sooty vellums flow through to fill the level 70 demand. Once I'm caught up with the guild spell needs, I'll focus on selling any surplus in the bazaar.
I know there is at least one researcher on CT actively selling 69-70 spells. Even saw him offerring set prices on combines for spells based on level of the spell.

There is just too many spells to keep all of them in stock these days. Even before the latest set of new researched spells came out, I had my vendor stocked with 80 different items for sale.
Now we have hundreds of new spells added, and there just isn't room to carry them all in stock. So even if I could find enough 69/70 vellums, I wouldn't know where to put them all.
Find a vendor selling 69/70 spells and send them a request would be my suggestion. Tell them you would like to buy certain spells, and they will most likely make them.
I made several spells by request last weekend, most of which I had never made before.

Because the vellums are rare/expensive and most of these spells will be replaced for less than 2K off a vendor in a level or five, I do them upon request. I may make some Desolate Deeds (Enc 69) since it has no upgrade, but I will have to look at other classes to find spells that also have no upgrades, as there would definitely be a market for these. I just haven't done that yet.2100 Tradeskiller
