Why aren't 69-70 spells being made?

Pretty much on Stromm you special order them.
My chanty can make up to lvl 69 spells with few
loses, but I havent tried any lvl 70 ones yet.
And yes, the high cost of the sootys are prohibitive
to my being willing to risk the few I have in
experimentation
I am taking care of my guildies with free ones
for the poor, and exchanges for the others. I did
make yoppas mending and sell it in the bazaar
cause no one in guild wanted it.

I dabble in the 69/70 market mostly because I hunt FC/AG a lot and see the parchments. Outside of that, I am not the biggest fan on spending 20k per attempt in the bazaar even though the risk is minor.

From what I have seen however, the spells do sell well enough that it's decently profitable still.

Same thing here, I make spells for guildies in exchange of free parchments.
I skill up on 65-68 spells and try to make some profit in the bazaar only to buy level 69 and 70 parchments to make more spells for guildies.

Players who level quickly will have little use of 69/70 spells, unless it is a key spell that isn't upgraded in TSS. However, we have plenty of casual folks who will be 69/70 for a while because of their limited playtime.

Acquiring spells is kind of a pain. It's been pointed out ad nauseum on the EQ boards that casters need to get spells AND gear to operate at a level required for the tooughest spots in the game. Getting to that point is really difficult for a casual player, despite the far better availablity of decent gear to non-raiders these days.
