Besides monitoring the buyers for the vellums, I have also been checking at least once a day for anyone selling finished OoW spells.
Searching all classes, scrolls, $9999 min price (most of the peole selling GoD spells are at 9k or less, so need to filter all of those out), I usually get a list of a few rare ones like Divine Intervention, and the new tradeable Rank 2s. I have yet to see a level 69/70 OoW spell hit the market for sale.

We got 3 drops last night and the drop rate is right on.
1 66 piece
1 67 piece
1 69 piece
we are a family guild and have some friends in guild who don't have their spells so the 69's are being made just not being sold.
Wizard has made 2-3 69 wizzie spells at 250 unmodded.
He seems to be happy with the drop rate and we get blue diamonds and some pp.
AA exp is awesome so we will do this camp for bit and I will also be looking to camp the mammoths that teir 2 spells are dropping from.
This is on the Nameless server btw.

The 69/70 spells are nodrop, and as a result, the vellums for them only drop off tough mobs.
But hey, I'd be willing to bet 500 plat that what you saw drop was actually a runic hide, aka ldon spells.
Shall I collect on your server or mine, Ravanta? What I had drop was a Shabby Runic Vellum. Granted, it's not the Sooty Fine Runic Vellum everyone seems to be looking for, but hey, it's still an OoW drop from a mob that's lower than the spell level. This is the point I was trying to make before: perhaps folks are focusing on the wrong level mobs for the drops. Just because the runes dropped off of significantly higher level mobs doesn't mean the parchments have to, as well. The parchments are more work, after all. It only seems reasonable that you should be able to get them well ahead of the time when you'll need your spell, especially given the high trivial and failure rate.

Sure, 500 plat is worth the funny story.
Your vellum is for 69's if my memory is correct.
As far as pricing on 70 spells, I think mine is going up. I don't get vellums that often, but I would say I get them more often than a lot of people do since I raid and they are given to me. Raid vellums are not being sold for my personal profit, but since I buy vellums whenever I can, if the spells are being sold I'm going to ensure they are being sold at premium prices.
The prices people will pay for hand of conviction and voice of clairvoyance right now...........surprise me. But it is fun having people spam me "do you have my spell made yet! what's taking so long!" The last one I sold was to a 68 cleric, another point of hilarity for me.Last edited by Ravanta Suffer; 09-28-2006, 10:20 AM.
