got my 300 a few weeks ago. doing 65-70 spells. btw you can get trophies to evolve even on failures. Had one evolve on a failure onetime =)

I don't think it is possible. The trophies only evolve from successful, non-trivial combines. A failure does not produce any "experience" towards evolving the trophy. (You can skill up off a failure though).

It could be the trophy evovled the previous success and then you noticed on the next combine (which was a failure). Or you ran a string and had a failure, but the trophy message showed up with the next (a successful) combine and when you scrolled up you saw the message string.
