No, not me, yet. Anyone getting near?

Not me, I'm at 277 skill.

My current level 5 trophy is at 33% now.

I'm getting to the "burn-out" stage already too. Not sure if I'll have any desire to level up the trophy after I hit 300.

Only 283 and already hundreds of spells sitting on mules that won't sell. I can't imagine adding more spells in the quantities needed to level the trophy to 7.

Really? What spells are you trying to sell, and what price?
The only reason I've made it this far is because I sell 20+ spells a week. I don't mark mine up very much either, like 1-2k profit per spell. But I sell such large quantities it adds up fast.

Of course, I'm in trader mode 20+ hours a day too, so that helps.

As I've said before in another thread, at least on my server, too much competition in selling spells slow things down a lot.

I still identify lvl 63 spells as the determining factor. The slow down occurred to me after I lost shabbys at 292 skill. I was willing to pay very high prices for grimys and runics from 292 to 300. But after that, I slowed down.

I can still only break even with lvl 65 spells and need to sell some spells before I can make more. There are less grimys available and less desirable lvl 64 spells (compared to 63 and 65), so I still have a huge back stock of lvl 64 spells. What's worse is, since the prices of shabbys have dropped drastically since I no longer buy them at high prices, more researchers have come into the market. Once they can hold onto the lvl 63 market, they will start doing lvl 64 and 65 spells as well.

So, as I have emphasized before, and still want to emphasize again, lvl 63 spells is the crucial factor for the whole skillup process. At least for my server.

I'm still determined to get my 7th Trophy. But it's gonna come slowly.

Elf, could I ask how many spells you have in your manufacturing repertoire. I only make lvl 64/65 spells, and whilst I have nothing like as much competition on my server as you do, I've noticed that there are simply so many spells you can make, there are always niches to be found where spells still sell at a decent rate (and profit).

For example, there are 35 GoD spells runes. Of these, about 15 of them sell very well, but the rest only very occasionally, mainly becuase they are not great spells, and only the people obsessed with having complete spell books buy them.

Of the pop spells, at both lvl 64/65 each mana class has probably 2 spells per level that are absolute must haves, and which are rares from rune hand ins. So thats another 40 spells that are marketable.

All told, there are about 70+ spells in the lvl 64/65 range from which its possible to have a decent turnover, at a decent profit. And unless all your competitors are stocking all 70, there should be at least a few spells where you can identify a market gap and fill it. Of course, the trick is knowing which spells, and its taken me about 6 months to work it out. (if you want an idea of the spells I have found to be worth making, feel free to create a char on EMarr and go take a look at what 'Becka' is selling in the bazaar. She's pretty much up 24/7)

On Prexus I had concentrated almost entirely on 63 spells, but these days I can never find either of the vellum parchments in the bazaar for anything close to a reasonable price (the last shabby I saw was 5k). Runics, on the other hand, are running 3-4k and there are plenty available, so I have had to shift to making 65 spells. Not really sure why the world has turned upside down, because I still don't see much competition in the 63 spell market. My best bet is that the popularity of 69.1 hard (where runics drop more than anything else) is affecting the market much the same way that the popularity of the Creator and Blackwing missions affected the drops of MDS/GDH vs. Coarse Silk.

Ysall, my trader sells 40 different lvl 65 spells and 40 different lvl 63/64 spells. I have tried selling almost every single spell before I settled down for this combination.

Problem is, there are a few players concentrating on lvl 65 spells and a few other players concentrating on lvl 63/64 spells. So either way, I get hit. Still, I was lucky I got the lvl 63 market all to myself for a long enough time to get to 292. So I really shouldn't complain. It's even harder for the new researchers coming up now.

Bobaten, 5k was how much I was paying for shabbys from 285-292 skill. They have dropped back to 2k since I no longer buy them. I tried not buying runics for a week to see if prices will drop. It doesn't. Meaning there are other players buying them.

Frankly, if I don't have to level my Trophy from 6 to 7, I'll just make lvl 63 spells for cash.

I keep between 50 & 60 different spells for sale at all times (my other bags have dropped items or smithing made items).

                  I'd say about-
                  12-15 GoD spells (65)
                  12-15 PoP spells (65)
                  12-15 level 64 PoP spells
and 12-15 level 63 PoP spells.

                        Finally DING Trophy 7.

I love that red/blue/purple feather in my ammo slot. Colors and icons mean so much to me hehe. More than that 3%.

Took me 3 months from 208 to 300 skill. And it also took me 3 months from Trophy 6 - 7. Given the latter takes alot less combines, one can tell how fast and furious the market has been tightening since December. Or as I've been saying, how much losing grubbys and shabbys can affect the progression rate.

Grats to both of you. About how many combines for trophy level 6 to level 7?

If all of the combines are lvl 65 spells, you'll need 450 successful combines. If all of the combines are lvl 64 spells, you'll need 489 successful combines.

Depending on your mix of lvl 64 and 65 spells, it'll be somewhere between 450 and 489 successful combines.
