I Changed this.

Unfortunately it needs a full patch and the next one is scheduled 3/14 (I have no control over this)

By "this" I assume you mean the Highland Sludge part?

I agree with other posts about the old spells. The Rune of Draught and Yaeth 50 left are far harder to come by.

I see in the Droplist post that mobs in Veksar drop both. Looks like my necro has a little hunting to do. I just hope it doesn't drop too far in.

I just spent the last 4 days farming Veksar with a charmed Wraith, laying waste to half the zone over and over. Plenty of tradeskill drops but nothing that would help me out for this.

same here, yaeth 50 left is killing me. killing PoJ and nothing so far.
(was lucky to get rune of draught and flash in baz....hope i dont fail in those..)

Well, I'm halfway through with the task (sludge part not done). Will I lose the task and the steps I've already completed?

If you've made a task item and turned it in to the judge completing both lines (green text), then you should be fine.

If you have made a current task item that ends up getting changed, but haven't turned it in yet ... then just the 'turn-in' line will change to the new item and you'll have to make or buy one to turn in for credit.

If you haven't even made it yet, and it is one that gets changed, then both lines will change to the new item which you'll have to make and turn in.

Basically .. if you have items made that are in your task now but haven't turned them in yet, you should do so before the patch on the 14th to be sure you get credit and don't get stuck with something that no longer works for the task.

I spent a week camping/vendor diving for the rune of draught with no luck so far. Been running a buyer for it too, but with the 200? item limit, and no search filters in the barter window (really wish you could search by buyer like you can by seller in the bazaar window), I see no hope of buying it that way.

A guildie gave me the rune of flash & I bought the yaeth's page in bazaar. Have had both of those drop for me on camps so far within a day of picking it up elsewhere (both dropped for me in PoMischief btw).

I have given up on getting the rune of draught to drop for now. Have moved on to doing other things before I go crazy. Have spent more time on this 1 jouneyman trophy so far than on the other 10 combined (9 master, 1 journeyman).

Camped Veksar, PoJ and PoM. no luck on any drops. have been vendor diving for a week, and buyer has turned up nothing.

Finally saw 3 of the items for sale in the bazaar on Luclin server:

Rune of Flash 5k
Yaeth's 50 (left) 20k
Rune of Draught 50k

Just shoot me and get it over with. This quest is just stupid.

Oh, have the highland sludge done...wish they were all that easy.

I was lucky and had a Rune of Draught stashed away in my wizard's bank. Managed to buy the other pages in the bazaar in buyer mode. Managed to make 2 of the 3 priest spells, then my luck turned. I failed the spell requiring Rune of Draught, salvage kicked in, and I recovered...... a quill.

So far no luck seeing another Rune of Draught anywhere, 2 days in buyer mode hasn't gotten me one. Looks like this weekend is going to be spent trying to farm one myself.

As a programmer in RL, it seems to me that this expansion has been great!

Yes, tradeskills have had slight problems. But I'm impressed with the amount of content we got. I have all but 2 trophies available to my race and class and those two are waiting for fixes. That is impressive. As far as I know, both fixes are scheduled for the 14th.

Seems to me this is like the housewife complaning the mechanic takes to long to fix her car. If you haven't written code or worked with a database as big as eq is, you have no business complaining about "laziness"

I went ahead and purchased a sludge for 750pp on Luclin. If the price would stay in that range, why change it? I could've waited but what the heck...

I'm also stuck at the Rune of Draught on my enchanter. What bothers me is that our list of zones that drop it (the one linked back several posts) and the list on Allakhazam don't even overlap. I've been hunting Cazic since the most recent post on Alla's says one was found there, but I've had no luck. Of course I did snatch two Flawless hides and 2 Great Reptile hides at 4C, plus almost 2 stacks of blood, so I'm not as upset as I could be

Finally made my monk a Tae Ew Sack!

Would love to have definite word on a place that someone here has gotten a RoD, then at least I'd know where to focus

What Recipe?

What is the SAME trivial, is *NOT* class restricted, and has less rare components (If I do a search for that, I doubt I will find it that rare... just so "widely distributed" as to be very difficult to farm.... so I need more community input as to what is easier to find.) Note, you can go up a few points on the trivial for the suggestions.

I am asking you this to save me time on Monday. I am out of the office until then, and I want to try and get the change in on Monday. To do this, I need your help.

Because the price is NOT necessarily in that range. I search bazaar everyday for highland sludge. 99.9% of the time there is none for sale.
I've managed to buy some twice in the last 5 months.

Journeyman Research Task.

Rune of Draught is part of Circle of Winter. Trivial is 182. According to this site the following spells are also trivial 182:

Circle Of Summer, Everlasting Breath, Fortitude, Insidious Decay, Levitation, Mark Of Karn, Paralyzing Earth, Primal Essence, Stun Command, Talisman Of Jasinth, and Talisman Of Shadoo.

Now, I don't know what is rare or not for components. I would have to wager any component used in making RGC should not be involved the Research tasks (which are Yaeth's 73R and Words of Apparition) since they cost an arm and a leg in the Bazaar.

How about Talisman of Jasinth (Coin of Xev and Words of Tenure)?

As for Yaeth's 50L, that's part of the same task, but a component of Form of the Great Bear. Trivial is 192. The only other spell with that same trivial is Judgment.

I don't know how keen you'd be to raise it a bit to a trivial of 196 (just because there are more options...Form Of The Howler, Spirit Of The Howler, and Word Of Restoration).

So, since we're replacing a Druid and Shaman spell...using my above suggestion fixes the Shaman spell. So that would leave a Druid spell. The only one available at either trivial (192 and 196) is Form of the Howler (Yaeth's 65L and Primordial Substance).

Again, I'm done with the task (I had to buy the two items that people want replaced, but they weren't so expensive); I'm just helping you help Ngreth.
