Aqua Fortis (created by adding saltpeter to oil of vitriol)=Nitric acid
Aqua Regia (term still used today) is Hydrochloric acid mixed with Nitric acid
And yes, they are all clear, colorless solutions.
Lets not forget that muriatic acid is a term in use today as well - and the liquid itself is used as a pH adjuster for swimming pools.

Probably only still named that because... most people know what Hydrochloric acid is, but only know it as "bad", so would be more hesitant to pour it in their pool "hiding" it under the name muriatic acid gives it a bit of obfuscation

I suspect it wouldn't take much looking to find all of those terms in use today. For example the sulphuric acid in car batteries is still referred to as Oil of Vitriol sometimes.
