A Little Clarification Please
To complete the Bazu augs, is it absolutely necessary to do the Beflast line of quests to obtain the Scrindite's Senescent Scribbles? I am a melee, and no I am not a gnome. So, in other words, is completing this quest in anyway beneficial to my Erudite Paladin? In other words, can a gnome who has done the quest simply make the items that use the Scrindite's Senescent Scribbles.
Taking the above into consideration, am I required to do these Belfast Quests in order to access the quests that are utilized in the The Depths of Darkhollow quest to obtain the The Skull of Den Lord Rakban should I wish to put myself through that misery? Meaning the Find Fibblebrap line of quests.
I guess the ultimate question is as a non-gnome melee, is it necessary for me to complete these quest to get my bazu aug (yes, I have my stone).

The Manual is a no drop item used by a researcher to make instructions. Scribbles is a droppable, reusable item used to make the Holepoker (that the instructions are made in). The Find Fibblebrap missions are based on faction (which these quests don't give). So, no, there is no reason for you to do these quests as a non gnome/non researcher.
That said, if your guild doesn't have a holepoker yet, anyone can do the quest to get the scribbles since it is droppable.

Thank you again, I will see if someone has the holepoker.
However, what is the manual for? You say the manual is used to make the instructions. The instructions being tradeable?

The manual is what is used in the combine to make the mechanoinstructions
Mechanotablet of choice
Scrindite's Instruction Ink
Instruction Parchment
Scrindite's Mechanoinstruction Manual
in
Scrindite's Mechanoinstruction Holepoker
Basically it's the template for the mechanotablets
It's also attainable by anyone, but its nodrop - so it is useless to anyone who isn't a spell researcher as far as I know (aside from the fact that it was the original source of the recipies, but they're all known now).

Let me Tell You
This is a miserable quest to obtain one item. I know there are some that exist on our server, but I have yet to see the holepoker for sale in the bazaar on Druzzil.
I am telling you this quest is by far the most treacherous I have come across; it blows . . . .

Really makes me want to continue playing this game. Along with all the other countless hours it takes to get ANYTHING accomplished in this game other than gaining some exp.
You devs should really reconsider all the timesinks you put in this game. For instance, other than port spells, when was the last time you could actually purchase a spell from a merchant?
This sort of bologna is possibly why so many people have left the game and will continue to leave.

This is Laziness How?
Cause I get frustrated spending so much actual real hours of my life in the computer on Sony's timesinks?
Do you work? Go to school? Have a life? I think laziness could be defined by how much time you spend in front of the computer watching SOE generated pixels; I know I personally spend far more time than I should mostly frustrated because of SOE crap like this and having to spend hours camping runes for spells.

Dang Zandal, not much of an opinion change in the last couple of years
And this should be a difficult quest for it's reward. Now if the Holepoker was consumed, just like the AAAA, I would think it was a little much....thankfully it's not (although, deep down inside I would love the additional market of another highend consumable).Sunburnt Dmize - 80 Druid - D-Ro

I also enjoy long drawn out quests. They give me a sense of accomplishment. I dont stress over how long others have had to work or if they powered through it. I enjoy the journey and savor the reward that much more when I obtain it. As for myself I am still working on the Aid Grimel and loving it.
