I, after failing 3 times combining garment, gathered 3 obsidianwood sap, made Firestrand Curing Agent , and wondering if I should hit combine button or wait till next patch.....

It sounds like it is possible to make the garment, which was my question. Fate favors the bold, and failures mean another 8 aa points or so...

I tried to contact GM to get chance to test mass-combining Undergarment Tunic, but been busy in real life and because of my Asian-Timezone, haven't got chance to.

Won't anyone ask GM to do test of combining Undergarment Tunic for like 20 times to see if the success rate is "as intended"?

Hmm, I have every flag needed for tailoring phase, just without Jiva (Sol Ro mini-boss). Used raid to enter Sol Ro room and got PoFire Flag.

Does it have anything to do with my 4 fails on undergarment?

few chance flags count on success rate.

i have all mini flags in sol ro, but not sol ro himself atm (my guild will attemp it in a few). i bought all components in bazaar.

i made the robe to have the 5th earing the day we will kill sol ro (it's very frustrating to see it in bank and can't turn it to npc )

ah, I misread your post initially.

So you succeeded in combining robe without whole flag for 5th turn-in, right?

Then I should keep combining & returning to PoFire to gather another set of sap, not to struggle to bring guildies to Jiva, whose flag I don't have.

Thanks for 4 fails combining, I found 2nd field of PoFire is good source for exp!!

0-4 on the Robe combine with 3 attempts at 221 +5% before patch and one at 225 +5% after patch.

Back to skilling up and begging for help farming saps.

You know, I really, really, REALLY hate Sony at this point. A curse on their foul developers that first came up with this quest that consumes my time and secondly to the brightspark who nerfed the drop rate of saps and finally to the team that looks after server hardware resources and made Plane of Fire the laggiest zone in the game at the moment.

I feel for those who have failed a number of times on this. For the first time last night I logged off the game in disgust when I failed my third attempt after spending 12 hours straight farming saps.

Finally succeeded on 5th attempt
1/5 with 250 raw tailoring

In fact, I combined them with no trophy equipped. I don't know it has anything to do with success.

Sap is rare drop, but it's better than other quests like epic or like killing greens every 27min. In PoFire, you can get a good exp, good loot if you can get named.
