Would be kinda cool altho I'd think they would just have to do combine all 7 at once since if they do the progressive like you sugguest they would have to do a huge number of receipes or have a specific order you have to do it in. Been too long since i've done statistics for me to remember how you would calculate the number of combinations for this but it would be alot. Just the first one alone has 25 different possibilities and each one of those possibilities is going to have a least some different combinations since you have the potential of combining the pottery/brewing trophy with something if you made that as your first one or the smithing/tailoring if you made that with your first combine.

True true it would be a large number of potential items but I for one would love to see them throw us a bone this good if you know what I mean.
The tradeskill community has kept a big portion of EQ going as I see it with sales and making the game fun after xp grinding wears off.
The possible combinations is 5040 if my brain is working this afternoon and appologies if I am wrong in advance I am the only one in the office as the rest left for an early Easter.

Combining all seven trophys is a bit too risky to me without some kind of very nice reward. Sometimes taking a trophy can take 4-5 attempts and risking 7 trophys on one combine and hoping it works is a bit too risky just to get an upgraded trophy that not many people would still use. If they're going to put in a 1750 quest not requiring flags(good idea btw and I'm on of those fully flagged 1750s beating his head against the wall on Grimel's baking step) I'd make it more along the Coldain Shawl or the Solstice quest. Making a new Coldain Shawl would be more along my line(maybe a cape or a mask this time?) that you had to 250 each step to go higher. The first two steps could involve baking and brewing to maybe bribe the NPC to get you to do work for him, then maybe he'd let you start in on a cloak that only Grandmasters are allowed to wear that could get progressively better as you make the cloak, reinforce it, make a clasp and then adorn the clasp with jewelry or something (and fit in fletching somewhere, dunno how) to eventually make a decent cloak(maybe 125/125 or 100/100 with Aura of Daring or an effect ala Zephyr of Brell but something that'd be useful for both casters and melee).

Yeah 5040 was my initial thought for that too as 7! -2! but i can't remember off hand if that properly accounts for the initial combines producing unique items that can be used in the successive combines. My gut tells me that it isn't but I think that also doesn't account for duplicate combinations in different branches. Either way it's alot of different combinations and alot of different items.Originally posted by WoodecktThe possible combinations is 5040 if my brain is working this afternoon and appologies if I am wrong in advance I am the only one in the office as the rest left for an early Easter.

Tradeskills
Its easy,
Take a tradeskill trophy, ANY tradeskill trophy and create an NPC to hand it into.
That NPC then gives you a charm that has the exact same stats as the trophy, with the effect Aura of Courage, and Mana preservation 1.
And it will get better as tradeskills reach 250.
level 2 - 15 STR 15 DEX 50 CHR 15 INT 15 WIS Aura of Battle and MP 2
level 3 - 15 STR 15 DEX 50 CHR 15 INT 15 WIS 15 AGI Aura of Daring and MP 3
level 4 - 15 STR 15 DEX 50 CHR 15 INT 15 WIS 15 AGI 15 STA Aura of Valor and MP 4
level 5 - 15 STR 15 DEX 50 CHR 15 INT 15 WIS 15 AGI 15 STA 15 sv ALL Aura of Resolution, Focus of the Orb
level 6 - 15 all Stats, 15 All Saves 150 Hit Points and Mana Aura of Redemption and Preservation of Xengony
level 7 - 25 AC, 25 All Stats, 25 All Saves, 175 Hit Points and Mana, Blessing of Vah Kerrath, and Conservation of Xengony
Actually, I would have 12 different of these Charms, 1 for each tradeskill (Including Poison, Alchemy, Tinkering, Research, and Fishing) and based on the Symbol turned in for the charm, the charm would also have skill mod of 15% to that tradeskill.
Of course this would require making a Grandmaster Symbol for Fishing and Research as well...
And make sure the level 7 effect only hits if you have a combined 1950 in tradeskills (base 7 plus either Poison, Alchemy, Tinkering, Research, or Fishing)Sage Sassnik Dreameweaver, Coercer, Tunare (Krieger)

I like that, except that I'd move the entire progression up one level -- make the initial turn-in two trophies, and have the 2x250 stats be essentially equal to a trophy, plus maybe a mana preservation or similar effect.
Since most people still don't have anything in their charm slot, and there are in general a lot fewer items available for the charm slot, the same stats there are worth a LOT more. And remember that, if you have the money, if you've sacrificed your trophies for this charm, you can easily remake the trophies if you desire.Velurian

Charm Trophy
Hugs Gorgin,
The reason I made the stats so high is that it is harder to be a 1750 or 1950 than it is to get to the elemental planes.
Lets face it, people in the elemental planes outnumber 1750s by what, 50 to 1? 100 to 1? 500 to 1?
Hades I bet people in the elemental planes outnumber the 1450 club by 50 to 1 at least, and you have been able to do that for 2 years.
And who here, given a chance wouldnt get a VP, VT, and Emp Key, over getting say Tailoring up to 250, if both had the same reward?
At least Commanders and Elites in Ssra are dark blue... compared to green rockhoppers and Tegis.Sage Sassnik Dreameweaver, Coercer, Tunare (Krieger)

One option would be to have a no fail combine that involved all 7 trophies into 1 super trophy. The stats would not have to be that much more amazing, but having a modifier for all 7 skill in 1 would be amazing in itself.
Another would be to expand the shawl line with each of the additional steps requiring various >250 combines & then something comparable to the 10th ring war for the finale.Master Artisan Kahmon
