Doing Aid Grimel Tailoring Tunic at 220 vs waiting till max skill

I'm 1/1 so far, working on the saps for 2nd earring now, got one sap and working on getting 2 more. At 250 tailoring (252 with GM trophy) I've got my fingers crossed to make it on the first attempt.. but if not, I'll duo the spiders an' try to get some more aa's.

I attempted my first try tonight. I was so tired of being stuck at 217, spent a bunch of money and did solstace robes to 220. I already have Salvage 2, so I quickly got 3 more AA's for Tailoring Mastery 1. With that, 220 skill plus 5%, failed. I did salvage one firesilk strand. =\ Of course, I had 20 fire silks already.... I'm going on vacation for the holidays... so the next combine will have to wait till I get back in 3 weeks and after I get Mastery 2 (or 3) and 2 more saps since I have a spare one in the bank.
