Most people "started" in their 30s while hunting giants in GD. Not very relevant. Let us know what level you are when you've completed the shawl.

The whole thing can be done with a 30ish char, as long as they kill enough giants to max faction. They could remain invis during the escort and have older friends kill for them.

it could be done at lv one tagging critters that your buds are killing and looting stuff. i was wondering about doing it mostly yourself except for the escort part which can't be done singlely anyway. i did mean when they completed it. if i could be the youngest to do it, I would go ahead and start finishing it now instead of waiting a little later for it to be easier was why i was curious. would be a cool thing to say. wouldn't last long but would be cool while it did. thats also the reason i specified main.

I was 49? 50? back when I completed the 7th shawl, which was before the 8th shawl was implemented. At the time, there were about 4 shawls on Drinal and I was the only one under 60 who had even considered doing something that crazy

I finished the 8th shawl with a 54 troll SK - not the lowest character out there with one, but hands down one of the oddest - I don't know of any trolls or SKs on my server that also have one.

Unless you have a LOT of help, it will be extremely difficult to complete the shawl quests, especially the last 2 or 3, at level 37. Basically, the higher level folks you'd need to have helping you would be doing most or all of the work...so being the lowest level main with an 8th shawl really wouldnt mean much at that point, imo

Cigar: I actually know a couple of SKs that have the 8th shawl, an iksar and a troll. They are both in Elementals/Time. (Not sure of they are STIll wearing em but i know they have em) Its an amazing item for any hybrid. My guild is doin VT at the moment and it will still be a LONG time before my shawl comes off my shoulders.

Edit: Found thier magelos: theyre still wearing em. =)

As correct as you are, I think it is about accomplishing a goal. I am currently 38 and have my 4th shawl. I have had some help. I know that at the level I am, and the level I want to be when I complete the 8th (46), I am going to be needing help. I do have friends that will help me with my tasks, it's just a matter of finding the time when they aren't tied down with their guild events to help out.

After being introduced to this game, and to various sites, I did a bit of research, and set goals. I have GMed baking, and have even made the coveted Bristlebanes Party Platter for the last Aid Grimmel quest, which I won't have a real need for for a long, long time. My other goals are to have my shawl by level 46, and hopefully my epic before 48. So, for him to have the goal of being the youngest main to have his 7th shawl is, well, admirable.

I wish him the best of luck.

Good luck on epic under 50. Although it's been a long time since I got mine, I'm pretty sure the druid starter guy in BW won't talk to you until you are 50+, possibly even 51.

Not to continue a slight derail here, but the epic mob for druid will talk to you at 46 (I did it a couple of months ago)...I've heard though that you can't do the final turn in in NK until 51...I am a 50.8 druid with ALL of epic completed except final turn in...I'm not taking the chance on him eating it 'cause I'm not 51 yet hehe.

I thought there was something restricted by level. Beginning... ending... close enough!

From what I've read on Druid's Grove, you can complete the epic at 46, and it has been done in recent times. You however cannot use the effect until 50 or 51.

Had I not stalled out on my 6th shawl (2 failures), I could have done shawl 8 when I was about 53 or 54.

I did good XP in the time I stalled out my tailoring skill-ups. By the time I got it, I think I was 57 or 58.
