I have done a couple of stacks of DoN bottles for training and keep them polished and shining on my baz trader. But it seems that the alchemy recipes that might use those are still not working as there is no market interest for bottles at all. (I am the only vendor in baz who sells those and my prices are far less than the sky-rocked price for Air-infused Spring Water that's used in the combine and still, no interest.) Anyone else doing bottles or have you all given up on those already?

The main reason to use bottle is to extend range of the thrown item but the amount isn't big enough for most people to bother with it. The trivial is low so the Shaman wont get skillups, but he can still fail and loose the product.
Would have been nice if the original item have even shorter range and using different type of bottles would increase it considerably. I have yet to get my hands on the fabled Kirin Horn but wasting one of those on a bottle surely should give a range of 300 or something. I doubt that though.

Those horns are just too danged rare for making a bottle out of. They are much better used for the Interplanar Brain Blaster. It's instacast FD usable by all. Typically sells for 1k and up. Invaluable for a cleric who can FD at raid wipe, then pop back up and rez the raid back up.-- Mewkus: 2100 dings on the server formerly known as Solusek Ro

So it's been verified that the IBB feign death is a "true" FD, with aggro wipe? Must have missed that, heheMaster Artisan Maevenniia the Springy Sprocket Stockpiler of the really long name

disclaimer: It has always been my assumption that it would wipe aggro. I haven't actually tried it with the IBB yet to verify myself.-- Mewkus: 2100 dings on the server formerly known as Solusek Ro

As for Kirin Horn - Don't want to derail into brewing, but the 3 tests mentioned in this thread (http://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq/showthread.php?t=20955) all resulted in in "Falling to the ground" messages and thus no FD effect. Even if I'm a dedicated 300 brewer I'm still more interested to see what kind of bottles it will make because an additional 20 range will still be more useful than falling stunned to the ground with severe alcohol poisoning.
The new tradeskill revamp was also supposed to include possibility of a minimum (or fixed?) chance of a skillup for certain combines. I bet recipes using Kirin Horn is one of those and that's why it's insanely rare.

Inebrification uses the FD spell effect like every other FD like effect out there and is subject to all the usual ways FD may mess up. You can simply fail (fallen to the ground). The mob could hit you with an AE and break it. If you stand up too quickly the mob may still remember you.

The bottles basically take the shammy potion and increase range while also lowering delay.
Personally, I use them with the quicklime based stunning potion ... just to build a nice stockpile for the Arena =D.
1.0 sec stun up to lvl 70 with a 32 delay in the hands of a rogue, monk, or god forbid a zerker ... nasty.
