  • dwerium jewelry stats bugged?

I've made some jewelry for a few L65 toons, but I've been baffled by the stats that they report on what should be identical pieces of jewelry. Some have even claimed that equiping and unequipping the pieces have changed the stats before their very eyes.

As I write this, I am looking at 2 Dwerium Trio Rings, on a L65 toon, (rec. level 70), both of them have identical Augs, a round cut emerald, a round cut opal, and a trilion cut shimmering nihilite. One ring is giving 6ac, 223 hp/mana/end, while the other ring is giving 7ac, 315 hp/mana/enc. I have no idea why two seemingly-identical pieces would give such a different result (and yes, it does affect total hp/mana/end... its not just an item display bug)

It seems that once you are past the recommended level, you get max stats for the piece, but the stat penalties applied for being below recommended level seem to be rather bugged. Has anyone else noticed this?

No, I have not seen it. In fact, I helped my put together 5 pieces last night and he reported they all had the same results.

Could it be the modified/unmodified box changes?

There is a way to view items as what they would be without recommended level (what they will be when you reach that level) but with the jewelry, because of the script needed to display the stats, it does not always show the proper max stats.

At level 65, it should be 7/315. I wonder why the 6/223 was coming up? It shouldn't be possible to even get that combo in any base metal.

This bug is confirmed (refer to http://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq/showthread.php?t=31603 ), however it happens more than just when an item is made and/or augments swapped. I've wondered if it has something to do with instanced zones, since I've noticed mostly in the Guild Hall.

As mentioned, zoning will fix the bug for some period of time.

                bugged

Well I think it might have to do with whatever the last piece of jewelry is put on. I believe this to be the fact because when I was PLing my little mage I decided that I should use the proper metal to make sure he survived the best I could have him survive (so started with electrum). When he was level 50 I believe I decided to change the metal to velium and so I switched the first piece and lo and behold EVERY piece of electrum then showed the same stats (and it reflected in his actual hps and mana going to it) as 210 hps 210 mana or something like that. I did replace all the gear as it was cheap enough not to worry about it but it seemed like if someone had wanted to they could easily make one taaffite piece and put that on to get the stats in the rest of the junkier pieces of gear.

just my 2 cents. I have not checked lately to see if it has been fixed though I guess I could give him some dwerium gear to check it out now as he is passed level 70 now and still just wearing jewelry.

This happened to me fairly recently on an alt, when I put a couple of pieces of velium on to replace platinum. After I put the first piece of velium on, ALL the platinum jumped up to match the velium stats, I replaced all the pieces I had enough solvent to replace and then headed out of my Guild Hall in search of the solvents (wtb a smarter GH gnome with up to date stock ). As soon as I zoned into the Lobby her remaining platinum pieces bumped back down to what they should have been, and the velium stayed as it should be. So while this is a bug, zoning seems to fix it.

I just noticed the updates here. Please be sure to /bug your experiences in game. It sounds like you have a demonstrable and repeatable problem, which means it should be relatively easy to identify the cause. (Doesn't necessarily mean it's easy to fix, though.)
