    I put in both the cost to buy the left overs, and the price to sell them back to merchants. You can adjust the cost to raise JC from 0 to 250 by either figure, if you wish. It's your choice.

    The rubies were eventually used to make my trophy, which took three tries.

    I did not include the cost of the blue diamonds above because I did not plan on selling them, and I already had them in the bank. I had one failure making the pendant. All other blue diamond combines were successful. The costs of the bars used to make the blue diamond jewelry is included above, so I separated the bars and blue diamond costs and prices below, so you can make further adjustments to the cost stated above if you wish.

    My INT was 255 most of the time when I was skilling up. Sometimes it would drop to 246 when my Brilliance buff faded and I failed to notice it immediately, but when that happened, it was not for many combines.

    I did unenchanted silver jewelry up to Wolf's Eye Agate, then all jewelry made after that, starting with silver jade was using enchanted bars.

    I wrote two perl scripts to read the log file to generate the lists of items bought and sold. If anyone wants the perl scripts, I can post them.

      Detailed information on skill up rate

      My INT was 255 most of the time, but occasionally dropped to 246 for some combines because I did not notice right away that my Brilliance buff faded. I noted below when that happened after I looked at the log file.

            When I worked on platinum jewelry, if I got close to the trivial, and ran out of gems, I skipped ahead in an effort to not have many gems left over unused.

                I created a CSV file for the skill up data. How I dealt with the lines which had no entry in the skill column: if the item made was trivial, I deleted the line, otherwise I merged the line with the following skill line.

                      I learned enough about Perl PGPLOT to create two charts. The first chart is skill 0 to skill 250. The lines are somewhat bunched up, so I created a second chart which is skill 175 to skill 250. I did not create a chart for skill 0 to skill 175 because it did not look that interesting.

                          Can you try giving IP addresses in those image URLs? They are currently "localhost" so it will only be viewable to you.

                            Dang, I didn't know that would happen. How do I upload the images? The are both GIF files.

                            My system is not reachable from the outside.

                              You'll need to find a spot somewhere on the web to put the images, sorry.

                              There are a number of companies that will give you free space for posting images, or perhaps your ISP already does. Check to see if you have any web-space, and if so, see the manual or help section for information about posting the files.
