Blue Diamonds

On the Cazic-Thule server prices for all of the diamonds are now barely above what a merchant will charge for them.

I see several diamonds for sale on traders for between 190 and 200 plat.

Raw diamonds start at 200, and there are plenty at that price.

Blue diamonds are currently going for as low as 290 plat.

Frankly, the margin on them is so low and the competition so cutthroat that most folks wouldn't even bother to try to sell them on a trader. They just sell them to merchants so they can get back to playing.

Face it, guys, these gems are common drops in some of the PoP zones as well as some of the other high level zones in the game. The market for them is flooded, and that means prices will be low.

Those who say they can buy as many as they want off merchants now are correct. If folks are intelligent enough to have a few inexpensive pieces of CHA gear (a pair of opal encrusted steins, for example) they can probably get their CHA high enough to treat these gems as vendor fodder when they get them and don't have a use for them, and they can buy them in virtually unlimited quantities from those same merchants when they do need them.

I've been buying them on every merchant I see for a while now, and even have some friends doing it for me too.

now to collect the FOURTY SEVEN folded sheets of velium I need and have some brellium enchanted so I can make my infused sheets of Brellium... *sigh*

Got a friend with another stack of them waiting to hadn em over to... so you can up that number of celestial tempers, ACK! MORE VELIUM!

Last weekend, on TT, I bought 39 BDs in bazaar, all priced under the 262 that I pay a vendor for one.

That was in one shot.

The BD market died about 6 months ago. Where have you been?

Those who say they can buy as many as they want off merchants now are correct.

You have to remeber that this varies between servers. The BD market has just crashed in the last month or two on Vazaelle. It is still a nice find to get BD's off a vendor. I have seen a total of 14 BD's on vendors in my time in eq. BD's still sell for 300-400pp in the bazaar.

A week before i started this thread I was making good plat finding BD and selling them for 425 and being pretty much the lowest priced person on Brell.

Since I was to low to get them on my own I had people selling them to me for 300 and when ever i saw them for sale for under 350 I would buy them to resell.

I would also farm vendors right after server was reset.
This would help pay for my tradeskill habit.

Then BAM! in like a week the prices just plummeted.
And now I am stuck with 15 BD that I really don't need right now.

For me that is a lot of plat to have tied up and on a bunch of them I could not even get my cost back.

Oh well live and learn.
