Actually there is only 1 piece thats not attainable for the AG quest outside the elemental planes. Granted to buy the parts might be expensive but they are available. And if you know anybody in an elemental flagged guild you might even be able to get the last piece.

and that one piece is not mq'able, maybe you can get in on flaggings but its not very likely imo, there is a progression of flags and you would need to know several guilds and get in on several flags to get flagged for the elementals (which you need to do the AG quest) hope stone is no drop and not mq'able

Don't take this as a flame towards you it really isn't. Tradeskilling is suppose to be HARD. That's the point. The reward is in doing all the work for that last skill-up and then maybe your trophy. 3 points is quite ok. It's on the line of making you ask yourself "do I really want to do this?". That's the commitment you make to Tradeskilling. Its not just some fly by nite thing I can do on the side. It's an achievement that should be given a lot more respect than it is. Lowering the AA requirement would just cheapen it. Also I agree with you comparison to RL except one point.
If the skills are similar then yes it ieasy to transition. But in RL I learned to make my own arrows. My mother has tried many of times to teach me the fine parts of sewing. And I do my own metal work. The THREE of them are nothing alike. It's like the difference of learning languages. I know some islanders who understand argentine do to its similarties to their language, but don't speak it. They are quite sure they can pick itu up rather fast. Now asking them if they could speak Japanese and they'll tell you out right it's gonna take alot of work. What I'm trying to say is your comparison is extremely general and if you dig down tot he details the foundations fall apart.

Then again it is a Game and enjoy what you have. Could you imagine doing Aid Grimel quest if half the server was 1750 club memebrs?
