so those who have the imbues scribed get to keep them?

as of currently it looks like it. Unless they start checking diety flag upon memming spells (which would require quite a big code rewrite)Oberan Lifebringer

Think it is crap that some folks because of time zones got these spells and the rest of folks can't.
The old change for single was made a long time after it was implemeted that anyone that was playing before the change had time to buy and mem while this change gave only folks playing for the few hours after the patch to buy and mem.

Are you saying you think everyone should have gotten "equal advantage"?Originally posted by LiwsaThink it is crap that some folks because of time zones got these spells and the rest of folks can't.

Just teasing.

K, folks, let's keep this out of rant territory in this forum, please.
Additionally, let's watch the talk of "smashing" VI employees, no matter how joking you are ... you never know when there's a board troll lurking in a corner who will take that as an excuse to declare open season on the devs. I'd rather NOT give them any added ammunition or encouragement.

Enchant Steel
On a side note, since enchanted bricks of ore are not stackable it appears the spell is not functioning correctly. It does use 5 unstacked large bricks of HQ ore and returns one brick of enchanted ore. I am hoping the enchanted bricks are made stackable in order for the spell to work properly, until then beware! 5 bricks for one at a 3x mana cost isn't very efficent
To continue with the theme of the comments here, I am happy for those who gained the ability to cast imbues they could not before, but at the same time I am disappointed it was allowed to happen. Sure it was fustrating sometimes to find someone to enchant certain gems, star rose quartz comes to mind, but that was all part of the game. Why make everything so easy, next thing you know it /corpse will bring you your corpse from any location in any zone because graveyards are too inconvient
I do hope they find a way to fix this without inflicting loss upon those who spent the money to by the spells they shouldn't be able to use.

Well no. The old Circlet was intended to work that way, then devs decided it was too powerful and made a new item that worked a little differently and discontinued the old.Originally posted by AldaneIs it fair? It's as fair as people who have the old Circlet of Shadow having a distinct advantage over those with the new Circlet of Shadows, etc.
That's different than the imbue spells, which were NEVER intended to be scribed by players of other deities (or no deity). The fact that they killed off the spell vendors a few hours after the server went up should be a good clue.

actually your comparison about the grandfathering of the old circlet of shadows is incorrect also
When it was introduced it could be used by ANYONE including clerics. It was nerfed without grandfathering. Same with the enchanter alliance stick from sol ro temple. Same with incardine bp usable by anyone from inventory.
All the formentioned uses of the items were REMOVED and not grandfathered. Yet they left such things as the infamous guise of the deceiver in (which is still usable from inventory by the WRONG classes)
There is NO reliable precident for changes unfortunately. SOE flip flops their side every changeOberan Lifebringer

Re: Enchant Steel
Funny thing is somewhere in this forum, I posted a comment thinking out aloud how they would handle if you already had single version of non proper diety single imbue spell scribed, it will let you take the mass imbue version of the same spell. Someone responded by saying nah, that won't happen unless SoE never checked the deity thing again and let everyone scribe them all again. What a prophetic statement that was. Tell you the truth, I was secretly hoping that they would. When I heard the news, I wasted no time and ran home at lunch time (good thing I live close to work) and scribed them all.Originally posted by DolanenTo continue with the theme of the comments here, I am happy for those who gained the ability to cast imbues they could not before, but at the same time I am disappointed it was allowed to happen.
