Vah Shir Cultural Armor....(Discussion) V 2.0

1) In this round of Cultural suggestions, all the items are made with Tailoring. Much like with Wood Elf & Halfling Cultural.
2) "One thing I noticed; for all other races, the cultural item made without any sort of imbued/enchanted object at all has no extra stats. No STR, STA, HP/mana, any of it." --- That's pre-BD Cultural. Enfiniti is only listing BD-Cultural gear here.
P.S. I sincerely believe that the extra AC is not needed... especially if all the armour follows a 66%/33% pattern in HP/Mana. A 21 AC, +5 Sta, +60 HP, +20 Mana Tunic for Monks/Beastlords is fairly decent. The Plate BP at 51 AC, +5 Sta, +60 HP, +20 Mana for all large-race Plate wearers will make many Agnostic Warriors very happy.Angelsyn Whitewings, Cleric of Tunare for 66!

And besides, Vah Shir already have cultural tailoring - sort of. (Anyway, it's all a moot point after Luclin gets blown up into bite-sized chunks and rains down upon Norrath)
I've got an alternate idea for the leather 'hide' (to save the poor hoppers
): Combine the curing agent and 'powered refined acrylia' to make a 'softening agent'. Combnine softening agent and flawless rhino beetle carapace for a 'flawless flexible carapace' and use that in the leather armour.
Itzena Alhazared, Revenant of {Planeteers}, Vallon Zek. And also a seamstress.
Gelcea Macha, Wandering Animist of Tarew Marr. Will be a smith, one day.
"If it cannot hatch from it's shell, the chick will die without ever truly being born. We are the chick; the world is our egg. If we don't break the world's shell, we will die without truly being born. Smash the world's shell, for the Revolution of the World."

Vah Shir Quests
Have you considered how to introduce these things into Shar Vahl?
I would suggest adding them into the existing progressive quests. Perhaps, instead of alcohol, you would brew a spiced tea for the temper. Similar to the Spiced Grimroot Tea or Spiced Hollow Palm Tea. The guy that you get the quest from does say that he likes to try new brews. You get an Ahlam's Seal of Approval when you hand him a Spiced Grimroot Tea. What's that for?
The recipes for the armors could even be given to players who complete the tailoring or smithing quests.
Just some thoughts."Need a heady kiola for your sewing project? Sure! I can whip that right out. Oh, you say you need 2000? Well, that may take a while...."

As an accountant and "fair play" advocate, I hate this idea.
It's bad enough that High Elves require a foraged/dropped item for each and every sub-combine in their armour, as well as for the Temper... Forcing Vah Shir to do multiple quests with no-drop components just to get the recipies for their armour (and more trouble to make the Temper) is unfair and unbalanced.Angelsyn Whitewings, Cleric of Tunare for 66!
