Patch making random DNCs

In the Bazaar today, I lost my skinning knife today while whipping up some padding. :? Got a DNC, then I logged out to see if that would fix whatever was wrong (I'd never heard of this happening before lol) And when I came back, knife was gone. So add my case to the evidence.

I mean, for me it was just a skinning knife, so big deal. Do they reimburse you if it's a big item?

I've lost a crafted velium war lance by moving it, and 2 stacks of ethereal cured silks by transfering them. I don't want to seem to anti-sony, or too much of a rant, but it's been a week.. they know there's a variety of bugs, some fairly serious, from the patch last week. If they don't have a fix, they should roll the patch back till they can figure it out.

I also spent 22% of level 60 dieing in fear.. twice i was rezzed into a clean camp... mobs warped in from no where just to kill me. Pathing is extremely messed up.

I ran into this trading to my bazaar mule on my 2nd pc. I had 8 eight Steins in my trade window but only 7 in hers.

I looks like the bug happens when an item is being transferred from your character to someplace else. Like another person or into a stationary tradeskill container. It gets removed from your character record, but never shows up in the destination. Since it primarily happens in the Bazaar it may be lag related.

If you stick to tradeskill containers you have in your inventory, this shouldn't happen. Not much comfort for blacksmiths, potterers and brewers though...

Gah, that's what I get for not reading this thread first...lost two tae ew daggers on Tuesday. One just never appeared on my cursor after clicking combine and getting the success message. I then couldn't open any bags or initiate a trade so I camped to char select and came back. When I did, another dagger that had been successfully made and stowed in a bag was gone. The components hadn't reappeared, either, so it was all just gone. Worst part of all is these combines were for a friend, so it's him that lost out Still awaiting word from a GM....

I was assisting in a transfer, handing off items from someones main to bazaar trader. Nothing unusual there. What was unusual is one of the eight items we were transferring didn't make it to the trader alt. I put up all 8 and could see them all, he couldn't see one item of the seven. It jsut poofed!
We both petitioned and eventually the item was reimbursed to me while I was offline. The only info I was given was "it was on someone else".

I am not a trusting person, bordering on paranoid sometimes. (kinda fun if you're good at handling stress) Anyway, if there's a zone that would be hacked into it would be the bazaar. Capturing and redirecting items? The trader bags are already programmed to be accessed by someone, is it possible for someone to somehow just pluck an item from it when you're not in trader mode?
These thoughts are best left to the experts and I'm not one. Seems possible from my ignorant perspective. This could all just be random and not malicious... but what if?

Had something similar to me happen 2 days ago. Traded Word of Redemption over to my trader. Camp out. Come back to transfer to my Cleric and poof no spell.

Just FYI, the studded cloak that vanished in the trade window was returned to me by a GM. I petitioned both online and off, and was told of the return via email a couple days later.

In response to the guy doing CE combines in the bank - if the combine container is in the bank, that is what happens - nothing. You don't get a DNC, and you don't get a combine, and the items don't go away. Nothing happens. The container has to be in your inventory to combine in it.

I don't know why this is, but it is the way it is

Just a follow up to trade issue stated above. According to the GM I talked to according to server side Logs the spell was never received from any of the 3 characters I had involved in the trade.

So just a little warning out there that there's a possibility that server side logs may not be working on trades within the Bazaar as well. Nice to find this info out firsthand...

8 days ago I lost a velium blue diamond bracer when I took it out of the bank.
EQ simply crashed instantly when I took it out of the bank window and was sent to the server select screen.
When I finally got back the bracer was gone.

I have petitioned online and offline and I just got a response from a GM that the bracer was not listed in the log as being destroyed, traded, dropped or in any other way moved from the toon, so he could not reimburse it.
I could not accept that decision and the GM actually provided the answer in his reply.
If the bracer is not moved from the toon and its not on the toon now, then a look at an old save of the toon would show that the bracer is there and therefore provide a proof that the bracer somehow disappeared in a mystirious way.
I am now waiting for the GMs next reply.

I had this happen to me over the Easter break. I decided it was time for me to get a Rallic pack, so I headed into the bazaar and purchased the components: One Rallic pattern, one perfect owlbear pelt, and eight shadeling silks. Somewhat recklessly, I decided to do the combine right there in the bazaar.

The silk subcomines happened flawlessly. I placed the pattern, pelt, cord, and string into the tailoring kit and click combine. Nothing happens. No error message, no success/fail message, nothing. The components are still there in the kit, and text is flowing from /ooc, /auc, and so on. I assumed I misclicked and hit combine again.

This time, I got the success message (You can no longer advance your skill ... / You have created a new item ...). The components vanished from the kit, but I didn't get a Rallic pack on my cursor. I ran around a bit and checked the floor in case I somehow dropped it. I found nothing. I moved items around in inventory, trying to see if it somehow ended up in the wrong spot, or if the components just "moved" to a new spot. Nope. I tried zoning, hoping that will make it reappear on the cursor. Zilch.

Eventually I petitioned, and a few hours later, a GM responded. He said he can't verify that I ever had the pack, but he did note the purchase transactions for the components, so he restored those for me. I redid the combine in PoK, and I'm now the proud owner of a Rallic pack.

This may or may not be the same problem. On Xev, I was in PoK trying to use a collapsible mortar and pestle to make celestial essences out of dropped research components that my frog had gotten in Kaesora. Every single one of them gave me a DNC... I expected a few, but the area around Xalgoz is high enough that I should have had some viable components. It was odd enough that I looked them up, and sure enough, I should have been able to get combines.

I didn't lock up or crash, and unfortunately I didn't think to go buy a normal mortar and pestle and try combining in that... I just sold the components and bought a stack of scent of marr's.

I had a simular problem the other day. I dinged 60 on my cleric and i was in the baz meming my new Ageo spell when it finished meming the spell stayed on the cursor but it would not go into the book so i tired again and i could not click on anything not even open the bank door. I had to zone out of the baz to have it rescribe into my book.
