  • Blue Diamond Scarcity?

Perhaps it's just me, but it seems that the number of BDs available in the bazaar has dropped fairly significantly over the past month. This may be just a function of some people changing hunting habits, but I was just curious if anyone else had noticed this? Before, I could wander in to the bazaar and find anywhere from 5 to 15 people selling BDs - many of whom had multiples to sell. Now I'm lucky if there are more than 2 or 3 at a time, each with 1 or 2 BDs...

    Thanks,
    Tiny

      It's not really scarce.

Just that more and more people are vendoring them now.

still not scarce at all in my mind. I think more people are noticing that they are so easy to vendor mine that they just sell em to vendors (which means less avaialbe in bazaar)

Yup, they are just being vendored.

I bought 13 just yesterday between 3 or 4 different vendors. 262.5PP, love that price..;-)

Now I just need to hijack a chanter to get a lot of Brellium enchanted..

May be a server thing. 2 days after the patch and every #$%$# vendor in PoT, PoK and most of the ones in the bazaar has Blue Diamonds, including... shudder... Merchant Tekrama. I hate to think how many diamonds one could get from him.

I haven't really noticed a drop if BD sellers in the Bazaar on Povar. If fewer sellers is a general trend, then it's likely due to low prices in a saturated market. In the world of supply/demand, BDs have a large supply and limited demand. Supplemented by the occasional vendor mining, I buy BDs in the Bazaar at 400pp or less. For most sellers it's expedient to just sell BDs to merchants than have the hassle of Bazaar selling.

speaking of the busy merchants. HOW does that happen in no combat zones such as bazaar, pok, potranq

I mean you can try to attack the mobs or do anything and they dont attack. So how can they move off their spots?

On the other side did you know that something must have changed recently cause you can aggro pets by begging from them? (was kinda funny too cause it has only happened once in 122 points of begging)

Just checked the Bazaar on Povar and there are 18 merchants selling BDs with none having more than 5 and most only have 1, other than lucky me who bought 15 of them yesterday off a vendor in PoK at 262.5 plat each )) Also price is ranging from 400 to 799.

Has not been a problem on MMarr. I have a friend thats an avid shopper and her trader usually has at least 20 BDs on it, if not 50+, for fairly reasonable prices. Of course, makes it hard for me to find any when I'm shopping. =P

Terris-Thule rarely has BD's on vendors.

Sullon. I have seen BDs on vendors TWICE. I bought them both. Sold one, pre-loy, 400p. Approx 40p 'profit'.

                            Since loy...
the number of BDs in bazaar has about doubled. Prices have halved. 400p is a dream; the ones that move go for under 350, most go for under 200, and that would be an incredible loss for me. I'll just keep it for when I need my trophy, and learn my lesson... "XP is a good thing, it lets me go to where the phat lewts are."

On Maelin, a day or so after a patch/server reset, almost every merchant in the Bazaar, Shadow Haven, and PoK has at least one blue diamond. At any given time, there are maybe half a dozen PC vendors in the bazaar selling blue diamonds.
