I think what Lilosh was trying to get at was the process of compiling your own list from prior posts in this and the previous thread on Merchant Mining. If you read through the posts, it's pretty easy to compile a list of items - dropped or otherwise - that are useful in tradeskilling and/or making a plat or two.
And don't mind Lilosh so much. He was still grumpy about not getting that staff... :twisted:

Drops off an Atulinae'Vius in AR. It is wis/int casters only.
If you have ever done the VT quest, you will know where to find these guys, as they are the 4-arms with the Sacrificial Remains are. For those doing Luclin tradeskills, that camp is amazing for various drops (We got, hmm, 15-18 Akhevan Bloods in about 3 hours there). They also have some other interesting drops, some droppable, some no drop. Also a good source for shaded armor for Tailoring.

And the XP doesn't suck completely (it's no PoP XP, but better than a lot of other zones in SoL, and kinda fun being that it is pretty much a constant battle).

And the only reason EQMaps has it listed as one of their drops is because I sent it in..;-)

Nope, not one bit.

That item has been dropping for over a year and no one decided to take the few seconds it takes to report who drops it. I try to help eqmaps keep this information up to date for people who are looking for drops. It's not much, but if everyone helps, we can get more info.

I can't think of any recent finds, but a few still boggle me why people would sell that to merchants, or why people would sell that volume of an item to merchants. Like...

- Blue diamonds (actually that one is kinda common. I buy them for about 220pp, run to bazaar and sell them for 450pp quickly)
- 37 Hobgoblin surprise (bought for 1.5pp ea, sold for 150-200pp ea)
- 9 stacks high quality rockhopper hides (unusual because they were on a single merchant in Felwithe)
- High quality tundra kodiak pelts
- Centi warhammers.. lots of them (I give them to shaman friends as gifts)

Well, BDs used to be the stuff only raids would net with the occational obtainable one dropping off single groupable MoBs, so getting a BD was a difficult task.

Now you've got PoP where BDs drop like flapjacks in most of the PoP zones (especially teir 2 onwards)

Since once can drop them on vendors for a bit under 200pp (I assume, never actually done it), it's quick, easy cash since you'd have to join the price wars in the bazaar and only get about 400-500 for it. Sure 200-300pp is a chunk of change, but many people would rather grind than sell stuff.

If BDs still went for 2k like they did pre-Luclin then of course they'd auction them off... Now they're just too common.

I've pondered having a regular macro that I'd hit while in Tier 2 zones offering to buy BDs for 250pp. It's more than vendors offer and I can set them on my mule for a decent profit.

I found and bought and FILLED a character with these off a merchant (all 16 slots, 10 slot bags) for 4.5pp each (the NPC merchant *still* had more). Made a mint selling them.

Most recently, I found all the ingredients for a Helm of Nocturnal Phantasms distributed across several merchants over the course of a few weeks. And my friend succeeded in making it, so I was happy.

One more storm rider blood, and I will have found everything to make a Storm Rider Tunic on merchants. Just have to line up a 250 tailor to help.
