When I make a commitment to my guild, that does not mean they own 100% of my play time.

If I choose to "hide" by going anon and turning off guildchat, that is my right.

If my guild has a rule against it, that is a horse of a different color. I accept that rule along with all the rest. But if there is no rule that says "You must never go anon", then I have made no such "Commitment".

Even now, you can't hide with anon. If you do /who all guild, it will show people who are normal, roleplay, and anon. I don't recall when it was changed, probably in the last month. (Of course, I haven't really looked at it recently, so I can't say if it is still that way).

            - Fixed an issue in the interface with the size of the last columns in windows.
            - /w all guild will now display all of your guild members.
Was Nov 19 when they supposedly made this change. I'm not sure if it really worked to show /anon members or not since I've been unguilded for so long (and plan to be for some time yet).

Thanks for finding that Zallarenya, now I remember the confusion at the time.

It never made it so you could see Anon Guildies, you still can't.

What that meant was it no longer cut off at 20 names like a standard search with too many results...

              Thus showing everyone.

At least that was my understanding, EQ minimized now and confirmed that if I do /Who guild all it shows me, if I go anon and repeat, I am not there.

My guild is not large enough to verify if it cuts off at 20 names or not.

(was for science, don't tell my guild leaders I went anon )

Trying it now and I can't get a /who all guild in any form to show myself when I'm /anon. Is there any trick to it?

As a cleric I'm not thrilled about this. 90% of my playtime is wholly in a support role in raids, groups and running around res'ing people. For that 10% time I need peace and quiet and keeping up /afk isn't enough to keep the purple screen down. (Or black screen, I often /usercolor 2 8 8 8 ) For those who aren't in a support role and spammed with res requests and 'come help me get X item' within 30 seconds of logging in every single day of their EQ life, it does tends to wear on a person.

                  Re Guild tool

There is a way to do it, you don't do a search on your guild, you do a search on your guilds name. ie (using my guild horde of the things as an example):

/who guild all - doesn't list anon players but

/who horde all - will show them (but not where they are).

You need to use enough of the guild name to be unique (don't know how to do that if that needs to include a space, maybe someon can answer that).

Eh, it's still not interesting enough to me to want to buy LoY. Maybe the Charm slots will intrigue me more.

I agree with the others here about wanting to hide from your guild from time to time. I really don't need to see all of my guild's Bazaar mules listed here. They go /anon for a reason. There are other reasons a person might want to be on /anon or /roleplay for a reason like not wanting a bunch of people to come bug you for KEI, Aego, etc. because you are in an accessible zone.

I also don't like the "Public Notes" thing. Basically, if I want an officer to put a public notice up for me, I have to flag one down to bug to do it. I'd much, much rather if you could edit your own Public Note and really don't see a reason that I shouldn't be able to. It'd be nice to be able to make a note for the guild to read when no officers are on like "Will be on tonight at 8pm est!" or "GuildmateX, I sent you an email!" or "GuildmateX, I finished that Breastplate you wanted!"

I don't think I should have to ask a Guild Officer or Leader to update this for me everytime I want a new note put up (which would be often considering how useful it could be).

The /who all guild (whether you use GUILD or the name of the guild) command will not show the /anon people unless you are in the same zone they are in. And to get it to show the /anon people you have to do /who GUILD minus the "all" part.

The problem is /anon serves 2 purposes

                        1) hiding from everyone
                        2) hiding from random people you don't want bothering you (i.e. for buffs etc.)

Ideally I think alot of time I'd like to be anon to everyone but my guildmates (which this new LoY seems to do), but I can see at times just wanting to be anon from everyone.

They should just make it so anon is anon to everyone even your guild, and roleplay is anon to everyone but your guildmates.

The one problem I have is with friends that are not in my guild. They go roleplay or anon alot and I can't tell where they are hunting, etc. .. so I never know which friend is closest to bug for a rez..lol..

To include a space you just use quotation marks around the guild name. Such as:

/who all "Legion of Little Folk"

                          Works beautifully

I went back and checked. It didn't pick up my alt (who is guilded) when /anon. I know that it did show them earlier, but that is probably one of those random changes. I know if was working earlier, since I know that the guild officers are sometimes logged as an unknown alt so they can listen to "the pulse of the guild." Of course, I never knew their names... until a couple weeks ago, that is.

I just did a /who all guild, and it did list those that were anon.
                              Hmmmm.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that still excludes /anon people not in the same zone as you - the change they made was to stop the bit where it cut off at 20 members.
