That 'public note' thingy will be useful for tracking guild tradeskillers.Itzena Alhazared, Revenant of {Planeteers}, Vallon Zek. And also a seamstress.
Gelcea Macha, Wandering Animist of Tarew Marr. Will be a smith, one day.

*curses his employer's filter software that blocks the everquest site*
After the headache (not to mention heartache *sigh* goodbye my friend) when my former guildleader died while in office, hopefully there are some useful features in the Guild Management Tools...

For you Cubwynn, though it isn't including the screenshot.Guilds are often the heart of a player's experience in EverQuest. Meeting and hanging out with others that share your desires and play times can make any game much more enjoyable.
The Legacy of Ykesha™ provides an improved guild management system with features that are useful to both those who manage guilds as well as regular members. Here's what the window will look like (its appearance may change).
Anyone who is in a guild may access this window to see the complete list of members of their guild. Each member's name, level, class and rank in the guild are displayed. If the character is online at the time, it will also display what zone they are in. The list of members can be sorted by Name, Level, Class, Rank and Zone. This should make keeping track of your guildmates much easier.
The Guild Management System also allows guild leaders and officers to enter and edit public notes about each member of the guild. These notes can be of whatever nature the guild desires; raid points, guild titles (such as Treasurer), usual play times, requests for help with a quest-anything that the guild wants to use it for. These public notes will be visible to all members of the guild.
Private notes can be entered by anyone. A private note is only displayed to the person who entered it and will not be visible to anyone else. If you want to make sure that you remember that you owe 50 plat. to your guildmate, you can enter that in a private note.
The Guild Management System also allows a guild leader to more easily manage guild membership. A guild leader will be able to Demote or Remove members of the guild by simply highlighting their name and clicking on the appropriate button. As a result of our recent work on the EverQuest guild system, the Demote and Remove functions used in this tool will even work if the guild member is off line.

LoY is looking HELLA-SWEET.
One of the best 19 bucks I've spent on EQ.
HELLA-SWEET.
As a guild officer with my main, and a new member of a different guild on an alt, more then a few uses of this feature come to mind for both characters IMMEADITLY.

I do hope there can be some sort of filters... or grouping of the alternates.
Even with a small guild (about 20-30 active members) the guild list can be 160-240 players. It will be helpful to be able to filter based on name, tradeskill (ie public note), Private note, class, level, zone, etc.
I shudder to think of a large guild with a few hundred active members and their few thousand alternates...
The ability to promote, demote and remove people whether offline or online is great. Just think... a Guild Leader can then promote their alternates to Officer Status (without passing the baton to someone else).
A couple extra fields like "Points"... "Epic"... "Flags"..."Expansions".. would also help. But can't complain about it really ...Brother Krazick Bloodyscales 65th Trial Scaley Transcendent

SOE should add a function to dump the guild roster to a file, or even to your log would work. Transcribing guild info to a web site would be so much easier that way.

I sent the following suggestion to eqfeedback@soe.sony.com
If you like this idea... Please send a feedbact to the above address. With the new Legacy of Ykesha improved guild management system I would like to see two more levels of guild members.
[code:1]Leader – Guild Leader can do all functions
Advisor – Officer who can promote recruits to Member and removes any member or recruit
Officer – Officer that can invite and remove recruits to guild
Member – regular member
Recruit – Does not have Guild Tag over head (hidden) but sees and can use guild chat[/code:1]
A Recruit is a good idea to allow people to be known without the chance that someone may harm the reputation of a guild.
I'm also going to suggest to SOE that Advisor/Leader also be the only ones who can set the guild message of the day

I agree this is VERY limited from the looks of it.Originally posted by delfonteslooks like now only an officer can update that public message, and it is fairly short.
A better layout for the members would be...[code:1]GuildLeaderName
Class Level Rank: L Zone
Public Officer message line
Personal message line
Private message line
------------
GuildOfficerName
Class Level Rank: O Zone
Public Officer message line
Personal message line
Private message line
------------
GuildMemberName
Class Level Rank: M Zone
Public Officer message line
Personal message line
Private message line[/code:1]This way there is more room for the messages and the custom UI builders wount have as much problems with the current window shown that is VERY wide on the screen.
The Personal message line would allow members to display to the guild things like when they will be back in game or tradeskill levels or anything important THEY want to... An officer should be able to delete a Personal Message. To go with my idea above... Recruits would not be able to set a Personal Message line
