Will they soon be adding premium only tradeskill content? Premium only zone keys that will have key recipe drops in those zones?
No. They are not turning the game into a pay for premium things via station cash like Free Realms is. The station cash things, for the most part, do not affect game play very much.
I love getting 5 free packs a month, who cares if there non tradeable, there free. Its 5 chances at a loot card per month, whats to complain about that lol. Its actually got me playing LoN to beat those scenarios and i have broken down quite a few times and bought past expansion boosters, not for the loot cards only but also for certain cards i needed to make decent decks.
When they use to drop in game they were so rare, that when one did happen to drop it was on a raid or in a group and got randomed off, which only made them even more rare to get. The ones in bazaar are way to much pp, to ever be a viable way of obtaining them.

My suggestion is to trade for cards you need. You should be able to get anything you need this way. Check the posted trades to see what you should offer.
It's also the best way to get a specific loot card (offer unopened packs, and you can get one pretty easily.)
The $25 chapel zones are a good example of my concerns here. The two wedding rings in the pack were notrade and have 10 nimbus charges. The wedding cake was flagged "birthday cake." And an invitation to enter.
While the rings, cake, and nimbus effects (fireworks), can all be crafted or quested, these zones are closed to us. I petitioned and spoke with a guide about it. While he was unable to give a solid confirmation with his limits, he believed that the zones would be closed to guide performed wedding ceremonies that were previously arranged via petition.
While I'm sure these aren't effecting the average playerbase yet, they certainly effect those of us that enjoy crafting, questing, and earning things with our characters vs. blowing extra cash on them.
Again, I have to disagree. The wedding zone allows players the opportunity to keep unwanted goobers away from their in game ceremony.
As far as I understand it, there is nothing to be gained from the zone other than desired tranquility for the in game wedding.
As for making your own cakes rings and other party favors, nothing prevents you from still doing those. While you might lose a potential customer, the reality is that you probably have had very few or no request for said items in months if not years. I know I have not had any similar requests in years, despite being an active player and tradeskiller on the same account for nearly ten years now.
Do I think it's because of station cash? No, absolutely not. People that want to do these types of events typically like to do some if not all of the things themselves.
As I indicated before, I don't think these types of services are a detriment to the game. Perhaps seven or eight years ago they were not in tune with "The Vision" and would have been worth arguing, but we are in a different age as far as MMORPGs go. The die hard players and purists may object, but the reality is EQ is not leading the carts in the gaming world and if Sony can implement a system that still earns the company money (and thus translates to keeping the game operating) without forcing me to buy into it, nor impact my ability to play, then there is no reason to argue against their decision.

hahah this is funny since those super lucky idiots who get the most wanted items trade them for enough packs that are equivalent to OVER $100 USD its not that dam easy and with the very low loot card droprates SOE gives us from the free packs, I got 1 loot card from them in the last 4 months the incredibly stupid invis potions and its not even a fixed invis length! Go blow smoke up someone else's bum.
There isint one loot card that can be gotten in LoN via trades without purchasing a Booster pack, sure there are round about ways to get one but I dont wanna spend my entire evening looking to find more then 1 required to trade for a mostly useless lootcard, I wanna play EQ not LoN...
Ornamentation cards are totally useless past levels 65-70, they dont scale up, 100 points of damage just doesnt cut the mustard. Now combine these with an OOW aug of Pure ___ and you get some new ideas to play with.

I haven't seen anything that high since the game first came out. 100 bucks is around 33 booster packs (more if you buy a case, I think you get 3 free or something.)
The most I've seen recently was 6 boosters for a visage or something.
Go look at the mounts for trade! people are/were asking for 16 booster packs from 3 different LON expansions! booster pack is what 2.99? (3x16=48) time that by 3 and ... there is one example right now offer by MrMagoo offering a familiar of Lord Nagafen for 16 Stormbreaker 16 Inquisitor and 16 Oathbreaker --$144 LOL -- the bridles and saddles have come down some - 10 booster packs form 2 xpacs and some other item to trade to get 1 - that still $60 and an item card...
Is this what the geniuses at SOE intended ? Kinda like where our tradeskills are heading for...I still disagree with the 3rd rank of a tradeskill mastery costing 9 aa but who the hell listens....
If SOE, and Ngreth in particular could, he would remove the tradeskill mastery aa from the game entirely. They are not a good design for extending tradeskills beyond the point they were implamented. It is because of them that we have to see these outrageously high 500+ trivials. The direction that tradeskills are going I think is going to continue down the path Ngreth has taken most all of the tradeskills and will see improvements and some new recipes to give us something to do.
As far as Station Cash, I was away from the game when it was introduced so I just ignore it.

I don't disagree with the mastery AAs themselves, just the cost per rank scale, as if there wasn't enough other class AAs that we gotta pay 9 aa to get. 3/6/9 for every bleeding AA skill just gets fricking monotonous then we look at tradeskill ranks and they are the same ! The SOB EQ timesinks have got to go. Some of us do not earn AA fast for others they can make 9 AA in an hour. I do not box and I am in a small guild, means no groups, so solo exp is the only way to get these AA most of the time. With mercs taking half the solo exp I have all but given up on the over 75 game, its just not fun for me. Low server population has a lot to do with it too. Soon as I get bored making new characters what then? Runes of Magic crafting ain't as bad as Vanguard crafting, which even tho it sucks, its better then even playing EQ2. Let me know when there is another server merge, mmk?
