I had wanted to find misty acorns so that I could make some leatherfoot backpacks and haversacks. I thought finding the misty acorns would be very easy to find in the low level misty thicket area but boy was I wrong!
I took my halfling ranger out there and tried to find them as ground spawn and through foraging. My foraging is over 100 but during a few sessions I was unable to find any. I had trouble finding any on the ground too. I went back with a druid friend and over the course of an hour I was only able to get five (all of them thanks to her sharp sight!). I found them extremely difficult to spot as they are like small fluorescent green squares on a green grass background.
People have suggested equipping a fire beetle eye and/or turning off the display of foliage in the video options. I have done both and still have been unable to find them like that ( or forage them : ( ). To make matters worse, from what I understand they are random spawns that can spawn almost anywhere in the zone and rarely in the same spot. Does anyone have any helpful advice they can give me as I find trying to find them extremely frustrating and have almost lost hope in being able to make what look like great bags.
