Veritable QuandaryHas been a month since I fiddled the skill, but after purchasing the AA already at 200 skill, I was averaging 1 skill increase per hour of constant foraging every time the button refreshed. Its still as slow as ever. Had capped it in the Velious era and totally forgot how hard it was to raise. Keep at it, it will eventually increase for you.

Lazy way to raise it automatically:
Step 1 make a macro with /doability # where # is the forage number you set in Abilities Page (crtl-A) on the first line, and /autoinventory next. May need to add /pause between those depending on how fast the script goes
Step 2: make it a hot key somewhere on one of the active hot key bar.
Step 3: go into options, Keys tab, look for the hot bar (1-4) and then select the hot button # you set the auto forage/inventory macro and assign a left or right key to it.
You'll forage everytime you turn. Doesn't work in combat mode, you'll get message about it. I can't remember if you can forage on a mount or not so be prepared to get spammed often until your skill is maxed.
It may be a lazy exploit but it's been around since player discovered you could get free skillup in sense heading years ago. Since it was never nerfed, it is safe to use.

I purchased the AA on my wood elf warrior and I'm still at 50/50 as well. Seems like this bug affects anyone with a racial forage skill.

I use this for begging/taunt/disarm skill. I have a one button hot key that will taunt, then disarm, then turn off attack, beg, then turn on attack. Voila. One button pushing. For a mezzed mob, this key is also useful because if I wasn't attacking, after the begging it will start attacking. Don't even need to hit autoattack! (Warning: Autoattack is an exploit and I will report you if I see you using it.)

In reference to Druegar's discussion on the previous page. Is the foraging modified cap going to raise above the old school 252? Sitting at 237 Foraging skill and still showing 252 modified skill (with Foraging Machete equipped) in the skill window. Thought this might have gone in when they fixed the cultural foraging bugs a couple patches ago....thought wrong.
