I seem to remember a quest where you gave 3 of the same quality wolf/bear/lion pelts to a certain froglok in Gukta (Dar Forager Lumun I think) and you would get 1 of the next highest type of pelt (i.e. 3 low quality bear pelts = 1 medium quality bear pelt). No idea if that quest works with the new pelts though. You do need to have good faction with the Guktans to be able to do this quest, iirc.

Personally I don't see a need for the upgrade trade on the new stuff. over this weekend enough superb silks flooded our Baz that the price I paid for 80-some of them was 100p or so. Superb animal skins were around 300p. Both of those prices are TONS and TONS cheaper than the old DON stuff was. And massively more common.

Not illusion froglok.. Illusion Gukta.. they ARE 2 different ones... froglok doesn't work.. Gukta does.

There is almost no chance at all for an "upgrade" path. The drop rates are what they are for a reason... letting lower level drops become higher level drops messes that up.

From my previous post, I'd almost be interested in a downgrade path... 2 Cobalt for 3 Rhenium or Tungsten or some ratio (3/4, 4/5, 3/5).

New cultural books

I am fairly new to tradeskills and would like to ask a question. I recently discovered new vendors selling tradeskill books. The question is that when you scribe a book where does it show the contents?

When you scribe the new Cultural TS books, you "learn" the recipes. These recipes may be viewed in the appropriate container. Templates may be viewed in most appropriate devices...forges for smithing...toolboxes for tinkering...looms or sewing kits for tailoring. The final combines for the armor itself can only be viewed in the appropriate cultural container, cultural forges, cultural sewing kits/looms and toolboxes.

If you'll look in the forum titled "Database Update Submissions" you'll find many of the new recipes posted there, waiting for someone to have time to enter them (no easy task with the numbers in question). Others are in the next forum down (... Completed).

You can help by checking your UI and noting down recipes and trivials for your own cultural specific smithing or tailoring if no one has noted them in the forum yet.

The need for patience is indicated. They're working as fast as possible with an entirely volunteer staff.

Yes and Yes.

275 is needed for the Elaborate Armor and Tier 11 templates. If you can confirm any of the other required skill levels, then submit those or post them in the thread with the drop guide that KyrosKrane is keeping in the UI/Guide section.

Last night, I thought they had blocked ability to learn recipes but they have not blocked this you just can not get books unless you have the skill. So I just have to work the recipes out by using what I can see .
