I was just wondering what kind of a coding nightmare and/or fairness issue the following idea would have were it to be attempted:
When killing mobs, we gain experience for mobs above our level, at our level, or below (but reasonably close to) our level. Why should our tradeskills trophies only gain experience on trivs above our level?
I would love to see trophies still gain experience for combines within some arbitrary (but relatively close) value below our skill level. Let's say, just for example, 20 points. Many of the combines 10 - 20 points below max (300) are often still very expensive and/or equally time consuming as those slightly above 300.
It would sure make all those subcombines near 300 easier to swallow. Also, seeing as our trophies don't help reduce failures of combines below our skill-level, it would be a reason to equip and use our trophies more often.
