Tradeskill Workshop?

I would love to have a personal workshop to do my tradeskilling in.
One that had my own table to lay supplies out on. One that included drawers to hold my various tools & containers... cabinets to hold my trophies and something that would allow us to organize and hold stockpiles.
Banks are for storing money and valuables and sentimental trinkets, Workshops are dedicated trade supply and work areas. Even if it was nothing more than a workshop "interface." id be a happy little workshopper!

ps: id even settle for a workshop locker. something near CR though!

It's called the Guildhall.

All the static tradeskill containers, plus a banker to store all your tools in one zone right next to each other, and almost no competition to use 'em. Even better, your buffs don't go away while doing it. And it's only a couple stops from CR (GH --> GL --> PoK --> CR). Anyone can do it.

Guild Hall is almost perfect, but...

I can't remember where I read this, but I believe the Guild Hall is a little buggy with Trophy evolution. I avoid combining in the Guild Hall as much as possible if my trophy isn't maxed and I am doing a non-trivial (and within 100points) combine. Something about being an instanced zone.

Anyway, other than that, it's great!

guildhall dont have cultural / PoP containers

a workshop loom would have to be tagged as velious,pop and cultural.
same for all other containers /

the desk and drawers idea i love!
would be nice to know that trophys are always in that drawer,file,hammer and other tools always right there , needles and thread always in the right place, but hey..
that sound a bit too much like SWG : build your own house.. have your own furnitures,etc..

asking for more bankspace (for tradeskills) is not gonna solve a thing. that would only give us more bags to go through when looking for that stupid file (i can never find mine when i need it)

it does sound nice to have your own personal desk,but i dont think its something we will see.

do people really skill up in Guild hall? where there are zero suppliers?
is that really a place you use for skilling up or doing many complicated combines? the only thing i ever combine there is something very common and takes basically just water plus the component. ie mountain tea conversions etc.

i dunno, i was working on research yesterday in CR and thought how great it would be if i had my own work space with all my tradeskill supplies, components, tools, trophies, inks, papers. etc... all in one spot and near a tradeskilling megaspot like CR, where i could easily pick back up where i left off if i want to take a break. instead of having to remule things or find space in my already overstuffed bank.

and you know, in real life (sic) a person doesnt keep their easel, paints, loom, needles, papers, pens, carpentry tools in the bank! they generally have a workshop where they keep their supplies and do much of their artistry or craft!

I do about 90% of my combines in guild hall. That way my main doesn't waste her buffs :P Tho it is annoying when you realize you're missing <insert component here> and you need to run off and get it or switch to a mule

I'd be thrilled to see guild-bank type functionality on my own personal bank. Everything listed by name, showing quantities etc. Sort options could be by item tags (lore, nodrop, quest, tradeskill). No more trying to memorize where I put this or that, no more flipping through two dozen containers trying to find a specific item when memory fails me.

I've considered starting my own guild with whatever alts/bots/mules I can round up with friends; make my main supply mule sole banker and remedy the storage nightmare I have accumulated on a collection of toons. Perhaps I'll get around to it eventually.

CR and Abysmal Sea, I would say has about 99&#37; of all buyable tradeskill items and tools.

I have never had problems with the elevators in CR.

The only items NOT found in CR, as far as I can tell, are specialty items from Velious and PoI. There may be a few exceptions, but I cannot think of them. Just as people learned the layout of Cabilis, Shadowhaven, PoK, and Abysmal Sea, so too can you easily get your bearings in CR and its not too hard. Almost everything is on the 2nd floor right together, WITH a banker. So you can put stuff in the bank if you need to go elsewhere to do a combine.

There are still cultural combines and PoP combines that can only be done in PoK or home cities, but you will never find a container that can do everything. The point of the cultural forges were they had some special capabilities that your race knew to get a benefit from them, and this is only forges (1 tradeskill) that you have to deal with it.

I always have a mount with me so I don't have to wait for the thing to come back up, I just jump down. Of course if I forget I have 50k plats, even the horse will not survive.

They really should add a secret staircase or port pad..... just a little bit of lag and I fall through the elevator...luckily I always have lev on when I use that elevator
