  • MInor bug in level 60 energeaic armor

I found a minor bug today when a player (on these boards) reported the trivial on a recipe.

The trivial for the level 60 equipment is much lower than I intended. So, I have fix the trivial level to where I intended, as another posible path to skill 300.

Unfortunately, it will need a full patch to come into effect.

So in the meantime, either take the happy easy combines, or stock up for a skillup run when it is fixed.

never been so happy for a bug before hehe

any notes on making the subcombine which requires jewlcrafting reduced or will it also stay 300 ish for teh top end ocmbines?
Note: Due to a hand injury caused by a friend throwing a broken scissor into my hand my typing = crap. So dotn be so critical.

Nope. I am happy with it being a bit tough Especially since it gives use for the "AA's" and mod items that people constantly complain are "useless".

        Thank god!

It will be a bit more expensive route, but thats fine with me.

dunno if this would be the right thread or not, but here it goes.
With the sunshard pices drop rates beeing doubled, if this shows not to be ... sufficent. Would you consider trippeling it ?

Or is this increase the kind of final last thing ?
Note: Due to a hand injury caused by a friend throwing a broken scissor into my hand my typing = crap. So dotn be so critical.

It is something I can consider... but ... we do have to limit the rate of these coming into the world. It is just that my original calculations was for 60 kills per hour, which turned out being unrealistic except for AOE groups. A more realistic number for a group "in the grove" is 45 kills per hour, so to be nice, I changed my numbers to 30 kills per hour. So a solo-er may find these to be a low drop rate, but someone working with a group of friends should find it better. This rate is based on a certain amount of BP's in a certain amount of time and you can get 3 times that in 303 trivial combines if you are just going to "grind" it and do wrists. The level 50 is more common, and the 30 even more common, though neither of those make it to 300, though the 50 might bridge it some

It is based on the comparison that in about an hour of doing missions you can get 1 bracer worth from the point vendor (assuming the missions are all properly tuned and there is no good "exploit" mission)

I know it is lower than players want for "mass" skill, but this armor, powered up, is better than any other level 60 armor in the game, including master cultural (without the raid augs, and maybe with... I have not explored that)

So while I do not mean for this to "replace" the skillup path, I figure with the parts so widely scattered they will start showing in the bazaar and for easy "vendor dive" and be reasonable viable as something else to do to not get horribly bored with the same combine continuously That is why I call it an "alternate" not a replacement.

You will also find the "loss" per combine if you sell it to an NPC will not be horrible. There will still be loss, and the "up front" cost may seem daunting, but I made sure there was not the ridiculous "spend 1200 plat, get 1 gold back"

Sounds great Ngreth. Always good to have alternate routes of skilling up. I'm gonna save my stuff till the next patch and then do a skill up run.

well we will just have to wait and see wont we. I mean the big gut punch I got when I saw the trivials to drops and drop rate is no longer as painful.

but if this works out it could be a nice addition. the main upside beeing what em othmirs drops are. Because if you could technically farm othmirs and get high trivial sunshard drops that would be sweet. But if we end up having to sepretly farm them... Then im not so sure.

                      Problem with Otters

First, Let me say-- I LOVE KILLING OTTERS! Ever since the day, I went to buy brewing supplies from these guys, wearing my wolf illusion, and they killed me for it, I have vowed to exterminate them. I remember the good old days when I could get exp from those guys. Root/Rotting em one at a time, and avoiding the chief. Then I got to where I could pull a few at a time and solo the chief. Now, I just run around the beach, gather em all up, and PBAOE Otter Slaughter em. So, it takes 3 min to perform my genocide and 15 min for these little bastards to reproduce. If only they were quicker to repop, I could implement my final solution more often.

Otters will be the level 50 armor then (pups may drop the 30)

well that means we will be seeing sunshard trivials of 250-260 ish when the new trivials get implemented ( i belive lvl 50 ies are atm around 225 ish trivial).

is there any chance there will be made a recipee to melt down pebbles and dust into ore ?

I mean there is already a quest where we can collect multiple smaller shards and make a larger shard.

Well they are already starting to show up in quantity in the Bazaar on The Rathe. Price is kinda insane right now(2-3k), but thats just because it's new. When the drop rate increases the market will get flooded pretty quickly and we'll see it come down to a more reasonable price. In which case it will be a viable skillup path because the items will be readily available.

Hopefully yes. But atm most people dont even know what they are for. and on eqtraders chat channel people occasiona still keep coming inn to ask how much is this worth and link in the sunshard stuff.
