MInor bug in level 60 energeaic armor

I have made the level 60 armour (BPs and Legs) as well as most of the power orbs (what can be made with the bought distill). Will there be rare drops for distill to make even higher orbs?

One other question, where do I find the quest that allows me to combine the smaller shards to the larger ones?

What zone and which NPC?

that is a seperat quest that does not involve the tradeskill tagged sunshards.

The quest in question you get from the red caped person in the BB LDoN camp. And it involves corrupted sunshards. The quest however is sooo not worth the effort. Basically drop rates are beyond horrible.

the final reward for the quest series is a clicky 10 % undead slow I hear.

Thanks for straightening me out. Yes I knew about the shard clickie. It just sounded like there was another quest for combining the sunshards (like the tradeskilling quests from god).

Got another question though. What does purity:40 mean? Lots of people are asking and couldn't find anything on that.

iirc it means the grade at which that perticular item consumes the charges on the power source. aka leggings with purity 40 would use 40 power pr tick.

It is the percentage of the power source stats that the item will get. So if you had a powersource that added 100hp to all items, an item with purity 40 would only get 40 hp, while an item with purity 75 would get 75 hp.

As a side note...I think there are some serious itemisation errors on the TBS tradeskill stuff...some are just to crappy to be true while others are just to good to be true...so i would hold off on replacing equipment with "overpowered" TBS TS stuff till there has been an adjustment round

yeah so you got 300 in your TS the old fashion way. Hussah and congrats to you for that. That doesnt mean you need to try and keep the rest of us down.

And I do not see how a conversion recipee is very unlikely anyways. I mean we do melt down the different types into pretty much the same basic element. And putting in a 10 -1 in conversion rate wouldnt be that bad would it ?

It is bad cause imo it is a fix for something that isnt broken.

Claiming I try to keep others down has no influence on the droprate being not broken. It is just a side argument drawn into the conversation to try and devalue a valid point by adding negative sentiment to it.

Asking about the possibility of conversion recipes hardly seems like demanding that the game cater to his/her specific needs... especially given the existence of conversion recipes for many of the block/brick/pieces of <x> ore in the game. /shrug.

As far as the TBS armour goes... so far, I've been rather displeased by the AC on the leather and the lack of melee focuses on everything. I understand that managing separate recipes for every class would be too great a task, (and potentially make selling the gear more difficult except when working off of sales orders, I suppose), but the current trend of 'itemization by armour material' does not seem particularly effective.

Perhaps once Merloc redoes all of the stats again for TBS items, (once he is done doing the same for much of TSS), the issue will be moot.

All of that said, I do love the fact that they are helping to provide a new skillup path through 300, even if I would never wear any of the resulting gear.

At this time I do not plan on conversion recipes.

Mostly because... these are "balanced" off of the drops being at what they are (well, will be) and allowing conversions, increases the "drops" for the level 60 stuff.

If you need "Roleplay" reasons it is (at least currently) because no-one has figured out how to refine the stuff yet. All attempts at refining have failed. The dust has less purity than the pebbles which is less pure than the ore So just "mashing a bunch together for size" does not do it.
