    hehe you guys are funny!!

Let's see, what are my superstitions?

I am NEVER levitating when I do combines.
I avoid the guild hall and pok like the plague when doing anything but very trivial'd items.
I prefer my home city (Felwithe) for doing long runs for skillups.
If I get long runs without skillups, I close the container, run around a little, and come back to it. Oh and I hop, gotta do the good luck hop.
If my container is portable I go find a quiet corner where no one can see me.
This season, I've taken a special affinity to standing next to Santug. And I say, Cmon, Santug! I'd like a skillup for Christmas!

Yeah, I'm a big time believer in patterns in the RNG though I'll lett it go about 45 or 60 seconds after a bad stretch of combines. This is only when working on skills over 260 though. Anything under, I'm willing to crunch through the failed combines.

I always sit when doing an important combine. I'm not sure it's superstition, I seem to experience a significantly higher failure rate when standing.

You play EQ standing up? Don't your legs get tired?

            1) Always do combines in areas of low-lag and try to reduce lag as much as possible, i.e. no lev, face the wall or floor, etc.
            2) If skilling up and not had a skill up for a while (also immediately after a skill-up) I will jump to reset the RNG.
            3) Never use skill mod items in range or ammo slot
            4) If doing Smithing in PoK, always use the Iksar forge by the fishing merchants

(Because given the visual design of the containers, at least in their original designs, all but forges would be most readily used from a sitting position.)

When selling successes back to a vendor I always use the same vendor, at least for that session, unless I sell so many that they start getting greedy.
LOL I'm OCD too and I do the exact same things as you! For tailoring I HAVE to sit - smithing stand - baking sit - JC sit - fishing stand ( I think you can sit and fish - it just don't give me skill ups)

Took me a while to figure out JUST how great Cresant Reach is for tradeskilling. I DON'T like using "unfamiliar" forges and so on, but once I decided to TS the Drakkin mage - CR was the spot to do it in.

I like to TS in zones without many ppl in em.Is why i like the ship so much.
I always close all unneeded bags, containers before clicking the combine button.I am convinced that there is a time compoent to TS'ing.By this i mean you will get more skill ups the longer you wait between doing batches of combines.Doing small batches spaced out instead of huge number of combines will yield more skill ups .IMO:-)

Not really a superstition but when I am making a high trivial combine for another person I always say "Ok, getting ready to hit the combine button. Cross your fingers and toes."

Even though it's all no-fail, I always first put the item in the left slot of the augmentation sealer and then the solvent or augment in the right slot of the augmentation sealer.

I've found from past experiences that the tighter your plan, the more likely you are to run into something unpredictable.

Before starting long runs, I kneel, and recite a prayer to Karana. (/shouted if I'm alone in the zone or in the guild hall, quietly /emoted otherwise.)

I always tribute the last item made in a run. If the last item is a fail, I will refarm enough parts for more attempts until I succeed.

If manage to get everything I need together before the run, without forgetting something or grabbing the wrong thing out the bank (@!#% hammers...), I will put the run off for at least a day.

Sorry, the only one I can remember is really old school.

Used to be, people thought you had a better chance of success (not skillup, mind you, just success was all we were hoping for) if you had the book containing the recipe open when you did the combine.

                        Remember recipe books?

I remember the "book open" superstition.
Sitting In EKarana, book open making arrows one at a time then Broon smershed me.

                            I move a few steps every 3 or 4 combines without a skill-up.

Or for preference, I use a portable container and do combines while autorunning laps round PoK .

Ok, I have fletched arrows while running to join groups, but that last one is just plain odd. Everyone knows you can't outrun the Lag Monster.

Mine tend to be based on location. Usually started out in a specific location for a reason for each tradeskill and became a habit.

Jewlcraft - Thurgadin - I am ally there and i get good prices on the vendors
Tailoring - Rivervale - home, I used to hand out stuff i made to the noobs

Cant think of others at the moment...

Oh, I used to make patterns out of the components when placeing them in the container... (Old school, before the UI)
