To be honest, I don't see what is "broken". I see no recipes or quests that aren't working for the cultural - though, admittedly, I am not a GM Tailor or Smith for every race.

Only issue I see is drop rates. When they call certain ingredients rare... they mean it. Takes a week to get all of the components for certain pieces.

Doesn't mean it's broken, though... just disgustingly annoying and expensive. Some pieces of cultural, on my server, cost well over 50k... not counting the augments.

At last nights HoC chat, I sent in this question several times:

This is more for Rashere and Jourdian than Ngreth. The tradeskill community has been "patiently" waiting for a review of the DoN cultural drops. Can you please try to work some time into Ngreth's schedule for this?

But it never made it through.

thanks Nolrog. To bad they still chose to ignore it.
I would like my drakkin to be able to make her own GM armor.. but as it stands now, I'll never see that day. NEVER.

Yes, thanks Nolrog for trying to get that in. Probably it will take a long time of patient rallying of tradeskillers on Sony's message boards to elevate DoN Cultural drops before the decisionmakers at SOE include a fix into a future expansion. I thought for a long time I'd never be able to raise my fletching to 300 as a human Mith Mar worshiper; then, PoR came out. It does happen if we keep at it.

            Will try again next time.

I did get info about the forage AA. Code change is in, and they are waiting for it to pass through QA or something like that.

If you have any other questions, let me know and I'll submit them as my question of the week or at the next HoC chat (although, Ngreth is pretty good about answering things on the forums, so there usually isn't a lot of questions unanswered.)

I will NOT double dog dare Nolrog to ask what the Devs are wearing in the next HoC Chat; I will be good.... What Christmass is past? Forget being good then! Ask them Nolrog! Ask them!!

I could try. Wouldn't be a worse question than "when will wizards get kick", that's for sure.

Just to add my own 2 cp on the fix vs. new content issue. Part of the problem with Sony's attitude on this issue is that they appear to be blind to how customer satisfaction affects subscriber base. The biggest complaint about EQ that I have heard from friends who play a lot of different games is that Sony's CS is a joke compared to their competitors. Is it any wonder their player base is shrinking?

My first guess is some bean counters are using a 6-Sigma model which isn't capable of quantifying revenue based on customer satisfaction, so they ignore it.

When the focus of their business is on providing the best possible experience to satisfy their customers, instead of adding the caveat "for the greatest possible profit" they will seriously prolong the duration of the player base, which has clearly been shrinking, despite the many improvements made over the last couple years.

You seem to think this is unique to SOE. I read the same complaints on the WoW boards. And you'll read the same complains on the Vanguard boards soon too.

Fortune 500 companies that employed 6-Sigma lagged behind those that did not. Read that in Dilbert, so it's gotta be true.
