Probably because Ngreth has already answered that one, quite firmly and multiple times -- no announcements or status updates until the changes are almost complete or ready to go live.
Edit: For the record, I'm not particularly happy with that answer, and I wish that Ngreth could work on it immediately and have a comprehensive solution ready in a couple of days. However, the reality is that Ngreth has bosses and obligations just like any working stiff, and his priority must be to satisfy his bosses. If he ignores his instructions and does what a small portion of the EQ playing community demands, he'll be fired, and odds are whoever replaces him won't be nearly as sympathetic to the tradeskill community.Sir KyrosKrane Sylvanblade

The only way it will come to the attention of his bosses that we want it fixed and its not some minor issue is for us to continue peppering them with questions about it at every conceviable opportunity.
As far as I'm concerned its the ONLY tradeskill issue of any significant notice.Comment

2 more questions I would have asked if I had thought of them in time:
Are there any plans to increase the number of items that can be stacked (e.g., gem studded chain)?
Or on a similar topic, any plans to increase the number of items that can be stacked to 100? Off the top of my head, spider silks seem like something that should be able to stack to 100 if bone chips can. (I know it was meant to be spell components only, but the question is, will it be expanded beyond that?)

Is that right!?? JOY! I do sell some imbue gems on my trader from time to time, I will be happy for the extra slots that will free up

Because as long as we keep asking it, saying this is what we want, sooner or later they may finally give him the time to do it. It's been roughly 2 years now since this came out. There is a supremely severe inequality going on. We want that inequality fixed.
We KNOW Ngreth knows and wants to do something about it. We need his bosses to understand this is an ongoing major concern that deserves his time to fix so that they will give him that time.
Give us back the top 10 problems list, and DON cultural would be #'s 1 & 2. #1 the disparity between the class drops, ie MDS vs coarse silk, and #2 the disparity between racial drops.

How hard would it be to have search criteria in the bazaar for evolving items? I know its not tradeskill related. But you dont know how many times i've been looking for evolving items in the bazaar. Either im not looking properly, there arent that many available in the first place, or its just not possible.
